I ask this question because there is a man named Juan De Jesus that is a reformed herion addict, a smoker, a drinker that has made such claims. He has a huge following, I wonder why people are so gullible and willing to accept a person claiming to be the Son of God. Our savior. It is scary. So I ask again would your faith be grounded and strong enough to recognize the true Christ?

I agree with you. People are indeed very gullible and ignorant. The Bible clearly warns us about false prophets. Honey, Jesus was and is perfect; Jesus' resume would not include any drugs, alcohol, or any other worldly problem. This man is carrying the mark of the beast. I am strong and faithful; I WILL recognize Christ. Revelation clearly states how Jesus will come back. He will descend from the clouds as He ascended into Heaven after His ressurection. My faith is so strong for God that I will shout to the ends of the earth that I love my Savior and He's coming back. And when He does, He's going to claim His children and they will be sent up into a cloud to live with Him forever on a New Heaven and New earth. Now the rest of these people who are sadly led and refuse to believe in Him will experience a Hell like never before.
Now what is so sad and scary is the lack of believers I see posting to Christian-based questions and posting stuff on here like the Lord is some kind of joke. It's horrific and downright retarded. Hopefully and prayerfully, they'll follow the narrow path to the gate of God's kingdom before it's too late.
I've had many people e-mail me, refuting my beliefs and trying to get me to reason with such nonsense. I enjoy it because I love to show how strong I am for God!

There have been claimants in India, too; accepted by some, rejected by most. When mylord Jesus The Christ comes, there shall be global recognition by Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. He shall carry such manifest signs. The signs are written in the texts of these three cousin-religions.

As it says in the Bible, recognize a "good" or "bad" tree by its fruit. If someone claims to be Christ, is he doing good or bad things for society? Is he using his claims to take advantage of people? Further, Jesus never admitted to being Christ in the general public. If he came today, I think he would do the same.
I don't know that I would be able to recognize the "true" Christ (if there is a true Christ), but I would recognize who is not.

Noone can recognize Christ, In his lifetime noone ever described him. We have no idea of how tall he was. Was he a big long bean pole, or a five-foot round ball ? Did he have a small nose, or one like a banana ? Was he bald ???? We don't know.
All we have are pictures of him painted thirteen to fifteen hundred years after his death, simply from the imagination of the painters. Not much to go on.

When Jesus returns, he will arrive on the clouds with great power and glory. He will send forth his angels to gather together his chosen ones from all over the world(his followers) from the farthest ends of the earth and heavens. Jesus' return will be unmistakable.

Don't follow any one that claims to be Jesus. My Uncles name is Juan de Dios(Jesus) and he doesn't say that he is Jesus my grandma named him like that because we are Christian. You'll know that he is Jesus if you feel a certain calling towards that person but other than that don't believe it.

I'd like to think I would, but Abraham didn't recognize God when he came to him. But I think when Jesus comes again, we'll know by the trumpets sounding and the splitting of the Eastern sky.

Yes, because if you spend enough time with Him, you will recognize Him when He comes...And many will come in His name..that aren't the real deal.
