even so, isn't it obvious that there would have to be some thinking going on somewhere in order for it to happen?

Answers can be according to ones mental make up. Preferably spiritual which will have a clearer approach. The idea is to ponder and realise a number of meanings. Best of your thought can be quoted for others benefit.

I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit about 10 years ago. I have been believing God for the manifestation of the gift of tongues since then, asking in line with scripture. (Various, throughout the Epistles. Not going to quote them here)

However, nothing has seemed to activate. I'm still having to wrack my brain for noises to make, in an effort for the Spirit to get started praying through me.

I'm not here to discuss whether tongues is for everyone or not, but for those who do pray in tongues, how did you get started?

It seems I always see a question like...if it's not the way...why are so many people ______. Is converting a bunch of desperate, uneducated, hopeless people to a belief that they'll be rewarded later really that honor worthy?

Brittney Spears has more new fans then Bob Dylan....she must be better.

I'm just curious to know, so I'm gonna ask politely...

In order for you to believe in the existence of God, what exactly are you guys looking for? What sort of evidence?

Something unexplainable? Illogical? What proof exactly do you need to believe in God?

Again I remind, I'm just wondering, I do not mean to offend or anything.

To me it sounds like some kind of ritual. I cannot see how it makes any differents to a person.. I am sure you don't need water to be blessed by God. Sounds man made to me. Can you prove anything of its affects? So where did ritual start?

"But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."

According to the definition, faith means "firm belief in something for which there is no proof." So using the same principle we can also believe in zombies, gremlins, klingons, santa claus, the easter bunny, the boogey man. What stops me from believing in anything if all I require is the desire to believe in it? Is there any other reason that a person should believe in god? I have always seen god as symbolic for things like peace, love and forgiveness. Why give these absolutes humanesque qualities? By doing so you now give humanity the chance to twist and rearrrange the absolutes to meet their own personal selfish agenda. There is only one truth , peace. Nothing less, nothing more. We should really stop this foolish bickering and come together as a people.
