According to the Bible a man commits adultery by just looking to the other person with lust.
Of course if you are married and you made sex to other person you are committing adultery.
And even you are separated and made sex to other person you still commit adultery.
Are these 3 different acts of adultery the same or they have different punishment in the eyes of God? How about in human laws?

Any other good Christians buy it yet? I have only read a little so far but judging from what I have seen so far, I am very happy with my decision to buy this book. I think it is necessary reading for every Christian. I also have 'Case for the Creator' by Lee Strobel .
For a light introduction that is very enjoyable I recommend
'Defeating Darwinism by Opening Minds' by Phillip E. Johnson

Which religion (that you know of) do you think is the most peaceful on earth? Peaceful in this definition is the highest advocate of not harming others (regardless of whether the "others" are fellow followers or advocates of another religion). If you can, please give an example of why said religion is more peaceful than others. What is your method for decision? Holy texts? The followers actions? Current events? Etc...

Please don't state your own religion because you think it will appease your God. Please give an honest answer. Also, please don't give a universal answer like "all religious are equally peaceful, it's simply the people that make them war-like." That is too easy an answer - it's also not necessarily true (depending on how "peaceful" is determined).

Christians who want to please the Lord often have questions about tithing. The dictionary defines the word "tithe" as "a tenth part of something paid as a voluntary contribution or as a tax especially for the support of a religious establishment." It was a common practice in the Old Testament and required of members of the nation of Israel.

Many Christians believe that this principle of giving one-tenth should be carried over to the New Testament in giving to the church.

What do you think?

I just asked a question about 'are there more than 10 commandments', and to my surprise there were! But so far, no-one's given any examples.

I'm just fascinated by what other ones there were.

Shouldnt we be worried that with todays technology someone could send holographic messages to us pretending to be God telling us that someone is his son. I watched a movie that was called Quintencera and it said that a woman could become pregnant without being penetrated and that so long as the semen is close proximity to the vagina a woman could become pregnant...how will we know if we are tricked this way...do you think that a woman who becomes pregnant this way would try to say she is another virgin Mary just so people would worship her and give her money?

I saw a response to a question today from a pagan who said that we don't believe in the gods literally.. they are just symbolic. Now, I realize we have different pagan paths.. I'm just interested in how you, personally view them.

Thanks!
And, Many blessings on your path :)

I asked a question about streamlining the 10 commandments earlier and someone replied:

"Yes, the 10 commandments could be streamlined. Especially when you read on and find out that there are about a hundred little commandments after the big ten."

Is that really true? I had no idea. I don't read the bible or anything like that, so it could be true for all I knew.

It would make sense to not mention the extra ones if they were just little or petty, incase they caused unneccesary confusion.

Why? Some people even give up their beliefs and join another religions if the crisis is bad enough. Why must people scramble to a higher power just because their life is down hill for a bit? Isn't that… well... pathetic?

No offense meant. I liked John Paul, and I really don't care about one's religious affiliation as long as they are kind, caring and open minded, but this new pope is just scaring the hell out of me! From all the comments he ends up making and such, he seems determined to be the cause of WWIII.
