Go anywhere on the internet, not just here, and you'll find the same thing: the more right wing and reactionary the dimwit is, the less likely you will find an email or other contact address.
Try contacting Richard Dawkins and Jerry Falwell through their websites. At Falwell's the only response you would get would be some jerk asking for money; on Dawkins' site, you might get a response from the man himself. Try contacting Cynthia Tucker or Ann-orexic Coulter; Coulterhorse spews her hate and hides from any possible response; Ms. Tucker _personally_ responded to an email comment I made on one of her columns.
Whether it's political hacks, columnists, reporters, or whomever, the right wing liars are the most cowardly and least likely to provide an easy way to contact them.

If you reveal your e-mail you will get harassment from some of brainless plankton that inhabit this board. I just couldn't accept receiving e-mails containing expletives from cranks like Betty Boop so I decided no direct communication with members here was the only viable option. I don't really want to talk to members here anyway- you people mean nothing to me.

Well, even upstanding, responsible participants probably don't want to risk receiving a bunch of crank, insulting emails.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Yahoo Answers. There are a whole bunch of opportunities for frustration here. Remember that it's a free forum with inadequate moderation.

I never really got contacted that much by people here on Answers when I allowed email. But I did get tons and tons of spam. It just wasn't worth it to me to allow them. I do allow people to go to my 360 and leave a comment. I can go from there with people.

I block my email because I am a minority in my thoughts here and I don't want to be spammed with
"you are going to hell for not accepting Jesus into your heart" messages.....which is a very common thing that some Christian are prone to do when confronted with non-Christan's
for some reason they seem to think that I have managed to live almost 33 years of my life without ever having heard of their false god Jesus and that THEY can be the one to save my soul....
bah....I don't need it, so I have my stuff blocked

I assume that if they don't allow email, it's because they are trolls and don't want to have to deal with the results of their actions, or they've been burned by trolls who won't leave them alone. So far I've been lucky. I've even opened up a blog on my 360 recently. So far, no replies to any of it. Oh, well...

I still allow email, but I am considering blocking it. I get hate mail every day from people telling me I'm going to hell.

actually, I think you'll find most christians don't allow email and most others do.
edit: from the answers it seems a significant fraction of the atheists/agnostic club also doesn't allow email. It must be that I'm more inclined to respond to christian boneheadery ;)

Some people (I was one of them) do not realize that one has to explicitly make email available to others here in Yahoo. (I assume that constraint has not changed recently).
