So that's it? God should only protect babies from being born blind? What about premature babies? Shouldn't God protect them too? And what about babies born without arms or legs? What about babies born with Downs Syndrome? What about stillborns?

If there is a God, I think this God would not be One to interfere with the natural processes of the world.

I believe it's called free will.
Nature has free will too.
Nature makes mistakes.
That's how we get cancer, AIDS, Cerebal Palsy, etc.

being blind is not always a curse. God alows things to happen for reasons that can't be understood without further future intellegence. This blind child could turn out to be one of the greatest ____ ever born. You can't judge a book by its cover. God has a plan. He is not a mean God. He does everything for good.

because God doesn't mess with your genetics. He created your soul and spirit; the sperm, egg and uterus formed the body.

God has a will, so He doesn't want you to be blind, unless it's a benefit to you. Cuz there are some people with disabilities who end up with great faith or who can help other by having those disabilities. for example, a person with a disability sharing their testimony can sometimes encourage a person, even to accept Christ, more than visitting a church. But disabilities are often heald by God, if we let Him (if God has the proper channels to intervene through plus the faith of a party involved).

God has reasons for everything He allows to happen. Sometimes those reassons are obvious, sometimes not.
Think "Helen Keller".

I know a young lady who was born with some genetic thingie that has made it so she will never walk...in fact, she can hardly move at all, and has a specially made chair.
Oh, but she can sing!! And her voice has inspired thousands of men and women.
She may not be able to walk...but her spirit can fly!!
And she is one of the most loved and happy people I know.
Sure, I know it doesn't always work that way...but, like I said, sometimes God's reasons are obvious, and sometimes not.

Also, I suspect that there are people who do not fulfill God's purpose for them, simply because they chose not to accept His will for them.
And that is very, very sad.....

So you would ask this question.
We are born into a lost and dieing world. What happens after that is up to you. We take what we are given and we do what we choose to do with it. GOD only controls our lives as much as we allow him to. It's not about life any more then the Job is about the Job interview.

Shalom.

well, anything is possible if you imagine it so, do you have actual evidence of this? Do you care about these babies or just the facts? Have you ever considered that that baby will grow up to be an adult, and that if he/she is able to rise above the missing sense of sight, they could be great men/women despite their flaws. I think it's a beautiful work of creation. Stern but true.

Because (assuming God exists) God doesn't interfere one way or the other. He simply lets nature take it's course.

The concept of God interfering with humanity negates the concept of free will.

Because God has nothing to do with it. It is caused by disease or defective Genes. Don't try and blame every thing on your fantasy God. One side give God all the credit for the good things the other side denies God but then tries to blame the bad things on him. Listen people there is no God so he can not be responsible for the bad things.

this could be a good question. this is the Biblical answer. Adam led to a suited introduction to become imperfect and with it guy began his undertaking to erase God from the minds of guys. it may look merciless however the door replaced into opened for those products, God basically makes use of those situations to hold onlookers to their senses approximately their "choose" for God, in this existence and the subsequent.

God has plans for each and every human that is born and some of those plans include being blind, or deaf. Everything that happens, happens for a reason beyond our understanding
