According to the definition, faith means "firm belief in something for which there is no proof." So using the same principle we can also believe in zombies, gremlins, klingons, santa claus, the easter bunny, the boogey man. What stops me from believing in anything if all I require is the desire to believe in it? Is there any other reason that a person should believe in god? I have always seen god as symbolic for things like peace, love and forgiveness. Why give these absolutes humanesque qualities? By doing so you now give humanity the chance to twist and rearrrange the absolutes to meet their own personal selfish agenda. There is only one truth , peace. Nothing less, nothing more. We should really stop this foolish bickering and come together as a people.

Faith is a source of silent knowledge. Silent knowledge goes beyond language and logic. I can give no logical explanation WHY I believe what I believe. The moment I use words to describe it, I'm clouding the issue. Words and language are open to interpretation. What did the author mean exactly and what is my bias as a reader?

I can only tell you the tales of my life and what I got out of that specific incident. the restis just merely my story.

We all need trust in what we don't know for sure, in order to survive. We don't check every fact, nor worry about thieves whenever we help a stranger on the street. Faith is necessary - or our lives would become way too complicated.
