Yes, I do.

First of all, there is overwhelming evidence all around that God exists. For example, have you ever seen an autopsy? It was difficult for me not to believe after I saw the actual organs inside the body and fascinating how these could function together with completely separate functions. How could this have evolved entirely from plankton? How could this human machine of organs be possible without a design or creator?

Secondly, Blaise Pascal was a great mathematician. He waged others that there was a God and that if you believed, you would have the probability of an eternity of happiness. If you waged against God, then there was a probability that you would have an unpleasant afterlife. So given the two options, the Wager for God is a better decision because it is the more logical choice. There is no proof about the Bible, but if you choose for God, then one would believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Also, I think a lot of people are in denial. All you have to do is REALLY look around at the complexity and design of life and how can a person not believe in a creator? Can you prove God does Not exist? I certainly cannot.

I choose God......

I don't know if I do either, so you're not alone.

I do believe that there is some great unity that binds us all together, but do not know what that is.

We humans are not comfortable with the unknown. Given that one of the ancient names of God is "The Unknowable," confronting the idea of a supreme being provokes anxiety.

What do humans do with anxiety? We try to reduce it by understanding it. Since we cannot understand the unknowable, we tell ourselves stories about it. Those stories then become articles of faith that we believe.

The problem there is that human stories are limited by human intelligence. We end up by limiting the illimitable, reducing the infinite to a nice comfortable package, an paternal pal.

I suspect that deep in our heart of hearts we know that our stories cannot encompass the whole of the infinite, but we must, must believe in them. When someone comes along with another story unlike ours, it challenges our belief.

We have a couple of choices at this point. We can listen to the other story and see where it matches ours, and see a glimpse of the universal, the infinite, or we can reject the other story and declare war on those that don't believe as we do. All too often we choose the latter.

We don't know, we can't know, but we can learn and keep learning. The more we learn, the closer we are to understanding if not the infinite, at least one another, and that is a very good start.

The only thing I can suggest is that you try talking to Him. Yes, I am a believer and a Christian. God calls us to Him. If you are feeling a little anxious about this, it may be a sign that He is now calling you to come to know Him. He is there I can assure you and can hear you, so just talk to Him. You don't need special prayers or fancy words. Be yourself. If you would like to learn more about Him, find a Bible and spend some time reading it. Much of it is history and somewhat boring but think about the actions God has taken and why he might have done what he did. Then, read the New Testament. My favorite book is Matthew. This is the story of how Jesus came to be our saviour. I'm sure all of my fellow Christians on this forum will add their prayer to yours. God Bless.

My religion says there is no god, but since my religion springs from Hinduism, there are still many who do believe in the Gods.

I don't believe in God. At first I did, then in my teens I reached a stage when I was very confused and finally I let go of my belief. I don't know why but I have never had any connection with God.

yes I believe in God. This is not a good place to ask for help. There are lots of mean, stupid people out here that do not have your best interests at heart. (freaky believers and freaky non believers) You should try asking someone you know and trust to help you through this.

I do not. Let's look at what the bible says. It says that God flooded the earth to kill every living being except those on the Ark. What kind of God would EVER need to kill. If Satan is so Evil, how come he NEVER killed anyone in the bible? In fact, Satan helped us gain knowledge in the garden of Eden. Get this, GOD GOT UPSET at Adam and Eve for something as wonderful as learning!!! The bible depicts God as a murderer and Satan as a teacher. Clearly the book is fiction.

Confusion is good. Look for your own proof...look within.

I was once at the same place and decided to find out for myself...as belief and faith were not enough. I found my own proof and now I know God exists.

I'm with you on that one, but I tend to lean towards the no side of things. I have a scientific mind, so I can't believe in ridiculous things such as Creationism. Not to mention the hypocrisy of the Church, and even some of the teachings of the Bible.

Yes, i do. I believe that god, or at least a greater power of some kind, is real because where else did we come from?
