I think they are telling God...hey, I hang out at that Yahoo Answers Religion site...take me up will ya. I must be some kind of believer or why would I hang with them. Please God, give me another chance...I really didn't know.
And God will look at them and say..."I do not know you". (For you atheist, that is based on a Bible story).
Grace and Peace

What am I looking for ? Answer - - nothing
What sort of evidence ? Answer - - None
What proof do I need ? Answer - - The existance of superstitious imagination is unproveable.
I believe only in the forces of nature. We are all part of that nature. Anything beyond the natural is supernatural. I believe in NO supernatural. No Gods, devils, tooth fairies, zombies, angels, and all the other foolishness that some people let effect their entire lives. Supernatural = superstition. No offence.

Ya know, after reading the Bible many times, going to churches (even different ones) and camp etc., I have come to the conclusion that God does not want you if you have to have proof. Who can blame him though...people who lack the ability to believe in anyone, apparently even themselves, well...what good are they...just a bunch of sheep in a field waiting for someone to show them where the water REALLY is.
I am equally sure he has a plan in motion for giving you the proof you need when the time comes. Its just that, sorry, it may be too late them.

Im not afraid to confess that my heart belongs to Jesus. Now... I was, at one time in my confused teenage existence, or considered myself to be, atheist. Now that I look back on it, I have to say I felt that way because I wanted, no DEMANDED, physical proof that a God or God existed.
Now, I understand it's called faith because you have to believe. And what I believe is what I feel and know in my spirit to be true...
At some point in an atheist's life, they will consider the idea, if just for a brief moment, that God does exist and they wouldn't be here without Him.

Why should I have to be convinced that he exists. Why doesn't he just join me for a cup of coffee. If you read the bible, it says that God flooded the earth to kill every living being except those on the Ark. What kind of God would EVER need to kill. If Satan is so Evil, how come he NEVER killed anyone in the bible? In fact, Satan helped us gain knowledge in the garden of Eden. Get this, GOD GOT UPSET at Adam and Eve for something as wonderful as learning!!! The bible depicts God as a murderer and Satan as a teacher. Clearly the book is fiction.

You know, I don't really know for sure. I mean, if a god suddenly appeared before me, I'd probably question my sanity before immediately converting. Plus, there's always the chance that the god could instead be an alien from an advanced civilization or even a practical joke being perpetrated on me by other people.
So what evidence could convince me? I don't know. HOWEVER, an omnipotent & omniscient being would know and could present it to me if it were truly benevolent.

Like others have said - If a god really existed then he would be able to make me believe in him just like that. As it is, a god is impossible so this is a moot point.

I'd need them to be logically sound, and scientifically verifiable.
That is, no one should be able to offer the claim 'God is outside time (what does that even MEAN?)', or some other such nonsense as evidence of his existence.

What like a miracle or something? If there really were a god he could simply make me believe without the need for such crude, physical displays.

No offense taken!
Primarily, whichever god that you would propose, would have to be able to logically stand up. So once it's taken care of that "this god, logically, could exist", then I'd need to look at him/her/it to make sure they don't contradict reality and themselves. The "holy book" has to not conflict with itself and reality. A "god" should be moral, etc.
I don't need a miracle. I just want it to be reasonable and not conflict with reality.
