I mean Jesus did say "I came not to change the law", right?
Besides the Ten Commandments, why don't they follow the other, wierder laws? Why don't they never shave their beards or temples? Why dosen't a woman have to leave the village if she is menstrating? Why don't they observe the laws on Kosher food? And so on....
Was it just because it would be hard to recruit Romans into the faith?

Have you contacted your House representative about HR254? Do you even know what it is about ?? ( I've been warning this was on their agenda) Do you realize that if this passes the next step and end result will be that saying homosexuality is a sin will be a hate crime punishable with a fine, lawsuit, or jail time?? This will likely follow if this law passes just like in Canada; "Churches will have their tax-exempt status revoked if they oppose homosexuality.
Homosexual marriage will be legalized and recognized in all states.
Polygamy will be legalized.
Scouts, and all non-profit organizations, will be required to hire homosexuals as leaders."

Let's say you go to church. Your pastor or whoever delivers a sermon saying God created man and that evolution is some crackpot "theory" that modern man descended from chimps, and anthropologists haven't even found the missing link yet. "Jesus was not a monkey!" he says (based on an actual sermon I saw on TV)

-You're like, "Yeah, that's right! Jesus didn't climb trees!"

But then you look online and see that evolution ACTUALLY says that chimpanzees and humans descended from a common ancestor, not from one another. ...you also see that chimpanzees are not actually monkies and that there is no "missing" link at all.
Also you find out scientific theories are different from the definition we use in common speak, and require substantial evidence to become accepted.

-So you're like, "Wait a minute... am I being lied to?"

The next Sunday your sermon teaches you that God hates the gays and that homosexuality is a disease to be cured of.

How can you keep believing under these conditions?

For reasons I prefer to keep to myself I'm curious to whom this being is.I have a feeling Rahzel (or possibly it's spelled ' Razel') may be of egyptian history, possibly refering to the sun god 'Ra'. Can some one please tell me of this persons origin and if possible a bit of backround history.

This is what I believe:If a person dies than their spirit walks around and don't know they're dead. But how could their mind see what they want to see if they're dead? So I'm back to my first question. Does their spirit have a mind of their own?

I am growing as a Christian and I feel as if God is really dealing with me to change what I allow myself to see and hear. A lot of media has bad (anti-Christian) themes in it. Even popular shows like Friends, which can be funny, have most of the characters sleeping with several people over the run of the show. Even songs that are not in any way sinful take away from our worship of God because we are listening to them instead of thinking of God. Our primary focus as Christians should be to worship and praise God and to get others to know Him. Ideally, I feel that we should only allow Christian media into our lives, but it's hard to make that conversion when you've had that kind of stuff in your life for a long time. One way to look at it would be, what would God think if He was watching / listening to this with me... or would this be playing in Heaven? What are everyone else's opinions on how to make this conversion if you've done so already. All Christian opinions welcome.

Q1. I believe that "the earth" is this planet that we live on. But what and where is "the heaven"?
Q2. Verse 2. ....."And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Where did the waters come crom since there is no mention of them up to this point... (verse 2) Was the earth and the water all together "without form, and void;")? or what.
