Sin is defying your conscience. You do what your conscience tells you should not do. Yo failed to do what your conscience tells you should do.

Sin in a real sense is what it has always been. Sin is an old archery term that means "To miss the mark"

Shalom.

Sin is the transgression of the law. Breaking YHVH's rules. The Almighty YHVH created this world very good. Once man sinned, he could no longer meet the requirements of YHVH. Because of His great love for man, He sent His son the Savior. The Savior's name means YHVH is my Savior!--YAHOSHUA! The only way one can have his sins taken care of is to invite the Savior in to carry them. If a person chooses to remain attached to their sins, they will be consumed in the cleansing fire the Almighty will send to cleanse this world so He can make it new! How could the Almighty be more generous?

1 John 3:4 "...sin is transgression of the Law". That being said, sin is breaking the 10 commandments, God's moral law.

An outdated concept of right and wrong. It's the reason religion makes people morally lazy. They think that if some religion says something is right or wrong, that's the last word on it. They have not thought much about why something is right or wrong. They just default to "God said so", call it a sin, then think no more about it.

To me thing are right or wrong or neutral, not sin. I might say a thing is a sin but I only mean it is wrong. I believe things that are wrong to Christians are also sin. But Christians also have a long list of things that are sin which is not wron, to normal people.

there is no such thing as sin. only missed opportunities.

there is enough negative energy in the world, to make it balanced, or more fair, we should choose kindness over being hurtful every time we have the chance. when we don't, we hurt not only ourselves but the whole world.

To ME (because I believe what is right and wrong is embedded in people in their own way. Not everyone's right and wrong is the same), I believe taking one's life away is wrong (no death penalty!), stealing is bad, hurting books is horrible, fighting is stupid, war is wrong, basically a lot of disagreement and death issues.
