I have always wondered whether we can live in some sort of perfect society. That will never happen.

I guess the reason we have violence is just so we can react to it.
You have the "freewill" to act any way you choose.
You choose to be mad.

Would you really want it any other way?
After all, it gives you something to say on Yahoo Answers.

Violence is not the solution- that, we all know.

But sometimes, given the nature of mankind, it's difficult to live without violence or the threat of it.

In a perfect world, we'd be without it. But in this one, we live with it, and sometimes, for it.

I don't blame you for hating violence. I do wish we lived in peace, as God intended.

I just hope you don't hate the people who threaten violence, or carry it out, to defend their country and their interests. They're just doing their job, playing the roles none of you want to play. And they use violence only against those who use it on their countrymen.


My suggestion is to work towards non-violent solutions. You may not be able to reach a peace accord in the middle east, but you can promote understanding and peaceful conflict resolution at every level, and in any place. Why not start there?

Tragically, wishing does not change the situation. I share your feelings though.

The sad irony is - to end violence, takes violence (force). As exampled when we throw murderers and those who assault others in prison. The cops often times must use brute force to take them into custody. Without this type of positive violence, violence would be much, much worse. How sad is that!?

So long as man is what he is, there will always be violence on the earth. I'm happy that's coming to an end, though. For good.

Virtually every other species on earth does violent things.

Even pretty little birds slaughter helpless earthworms EVERY DAY, and no one protests...no one cares.

Why should humans be any different?

IF you ask yourself that question honestly, and accept the truth that you find, perhaps you will not be so convinced that humans are the most civilized species on the earth.

And, do you mean to imply that you don't mind it when Good people are violent?

It will be wonderful once God's will is done on earth and there is no violence. I am looking forward to the time when even the wild animals will be friendly toward one another.

YES!!!!The world would be such a wonderful place without violence, injustice, prejudice, the list could go on forever. Humans sin and must ask for forgiveness. Nobody is perfect.

There are no "good" people. That's why we have violence. Follow what your saying to its logical conclusion. You are saying some people are better then others. There is no one who is good not even you. Look deep into your soul and you'll realize that.

Of course! What could be better? Life is such a wonderful gift!! We don't know what is going to happen after this. Can't we live peacefully and let others live the same way? Is there something I can do to make this world better? I am willing to do it. Just let me know.
