No. Epilepsy is a short curcuit in the brain, just a hiccup, if you like.

All that possessed stuff went out with the advent of the MRI machine.

Get a good book on Neural transmissions. You'd be amazed.
See a doctor, epilpsy can be controlled with drugs these days.

We've come along way since the 1900's

NO YOU ARE NOT!!!

read about epilepsy properly.

Epilepsy (sometimes referred to as a seizure disorder) is a common chronic neurological condition that is characterized by recurrent unprovoked epileptic seizures. These seizures are transient signs and/or symptoms due to abnormal excessive or synchronous neuronal activity in the brain. It affects approximately 50 million people worldwide.Epilepsy is usually controlled, but not cured, with medication, although surgery may be considered in difficult cases. Not all epilepsy syndromes are lifelong – some forms are confined to particular stages of childhood.

No, hun. You are not possessed. Possession is the mind over matter situation where epilepsy is the exact opposite, where you can't control the matter, no matter how spiritual, good your mind is. We are human beings and human beings have physical ailments that God can't always cure or control. God is with you, and if you wants you next to him, he will take you. If you come out alive, then God has helped you through another endeavor. But in no way think that its a test from God. There are just some things that can't be controlled spiritually.

Of course not. Epilepsy is a brain disorder in which clusters of nerve cells, or neurons in the brain sometimes signal abnormally. In epilepsy, the normal pattern of neuronal activity becomes disturbed causing strange sensations, emotions and sometimes convulsions, muscle spams and loss of consciousness. Epilepsy is a disorder with many possible causes. Anything that disturbed the normal activity from illness to brain damage to abnormal brain development can lead to seizures. To think in these days that epilepsy is because you are possessed is totally ridiculous, we are not in the Dark Ages.

What sort of a half witted question is that ? You might be possessed but it has nothing to do with epilepsy !

There used to be a belief that epileptic people were rather other worldly, because many of the neurological events occuring during an episode were similar to "mystical" experiences. Read "Why God Won't Go Away," by Andrew Newberg for further details.

Luke 9:39 is often sited as Juesus curing a man casting a devil out a boy who is epileptic.
In competing Greek religions, epileptics were viewed as blessed, so it is thought by scholars that the Christians made epileptics out as possesed by demons.
Unfortunately, some people still believe this and cast devils out of fellow church members with regularity.
And yes, I am an epileptic.

No, your having abnormal electrical activity in you brain that causes seizures. Your possessed if a Demon forces itself into your psyche and takes over physical control of your body.

No, it has to do with excessive firing of neurons. Grand mal seizures would overtake a large portion of your brain, while petit mal seizures are more confined and thus less severe.

People used to think that it was because you were possessed, but science has found the real reason.

Hope this helps.
