That's a subjective question. It may be right away, it could be never , it could be now, but the answer he gives is no! The thing to do is practice what the Bible says and wait patiently on the Lord. By the way don't be like everyone else and practice spare tire religion , you know where we pull God out of the trunk when we have problem in life like we pull out a spare tire when we have a flat on the car. Talk to God every day that's the best way to get to get your prayers answered.

It depends on what you're asking. He expects us to make our own decisions a lot of the time. Sometimes there are a couple of things we can do and either one would be fine with him. And if we're asking something dumb like "make me a winner of the lottery" I'll tell you the answer to that is "you shouldn't have been dumb enough to buy a lottery ticket in the first place." But for some sincere questions which matter, sometimes the answers are immediate, but there are times when the time simply isn't yet, and we need to wait. I was just barely in that boat---I'd been praying for guidance in a teaching position. Well, I looked around and all and didn't feel strongly about any and so substituted for a bit. But now one came up and I feel strongly about that. It wasn't there before, and so that's why I didn't get an answer before.
The basic line is, "work as though all depends on you, pray as though all depends on God."

God has and continues to answer every one of my prayers. Almost never on my time frame or in the way I think it should be answered. It always turns out to be better than what I asked for so I am willing to wait for my prayers to be answered instead of make things happen on my own.

God answers prayers in several ways - some quickly, some take time to have all the parts fit together. Out challenge is to be patient while God puts the wheels in motion.

Never stop praying. Sometimes prayers can be answered long after we are gone. Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of god, ye might receive the promise!

Back when I was a believer I never had one prayer answered. It was part of the reason I started questioning religion.

He answers prayer in His time , not ours. Some answers come quickly and some not as fast as we want, but we must have patience because God will answer one way or another.

I think a mere existence of a supreme being is considered insanity, When people believe they see things or people it would then be considered a disease aka schizophrenia. So for your question it would be you giving yourself an answer when your brain releases the thought or emotion. There is no beginning and there is no end. Therefore praying would be a self centered satisfaction that can only be reconciled by YOURSELF aka your BRAIN.
Have fun

God always answers, sometimes the answer is no, or it's not time yet. He has answer me many times, sometimes as soon as I ask, especially questions, protection, and healing.

It would depend on how sincere, heart felt your prayers are!
