I am sorry for this loaded question, but I had an urge to purge.

(John 3:16)

How in the world do you think that if you believe that Jesus existed, came to Earth to save us from our sins, died on the cross and rose again, proves you believe in him? Satan believes these things. Does that make him a Christian? Of course not, and it doesn't make you one either.

(John 3:16) To believe in Jesus is to follow his instructions on how to live your life and how to go to Heaven. --

Who ever told you that to say "Jesus is my savior" proves that you are a Christian? Show me where Jesus said that in the Bible.

(When Jesus said that he was the way, did you not understand that he referring to his message from God?)

Why would you depend on Peter or Paul or Church Doctrine to learn about Jesus? There are over 100 direct Jesus Quotes in the Bible on how to live your life and go to Heaven. Why would you ignore his words in favor of other people telling you what he meant?

This, is what someone, replied to a challenge I gave to the psychos, sickos, who espouse satanism et al, earlier.

'Any more of that and I WILL turn you into a frog'

Go for it you simple minded moron! .You are as powerless as you know yourself to be. These people take refuge in the very stupidity of what they call the 'occult'. If you ask most of them what that means they will have to look up a dictionary to give a reasoned response.

Why am I so 'down' on them? Have you read some of the stuff they have been peddling on this site as somehow, perhaps, 'true'!

I am doing some research on the type of clothing Queen Esther (in the Bible) would have worn during that time period. I do not even know where to begin? I need to know what kind of dress she would have worn, what her hair might have been like, her shoes, any other accessories like a crown etc etc etc Anyone know where I could find out?

1 Kings 7:23, And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: [it was] round all about, and his height [was] five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

When I was in school, I learnd that the circumfrence of a circle was pi, not 3.

Any smart christians out there???

I am Christian and my guess is that most of you do. Would it be better if you found out which of us you could be working with in constructive ways? Can you do that by mocking us and assuming we are all insane fundamentalists? I realize that many of you do engage us in reasonable dialog and seek common ground but that is not what I am seeing at the moment.

What do you guys feel about being religous/having faith be it Christianity, Judaism, Islam etc and being happy or having peace of mind.

Personally, I used to be somewhat religious and I felt very content at times of difficulty. For example once I was very afraid of driving through a nasty snow strom. I calmed myself through thinking that GOD has set a time for my death, if it's today then it doesnt matter even if it's sunny outside, because I'm going to die. But if it's not then be it a snow storm or avalanche, nothing can hurt me today.

Over the years, I have started to lose my faith and interest in religion. And I really miss that assurance and comfort I used to receive on areas where I had no control.

from former U.S. Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich which appeared in the New Prospect; Reich states that:

The great conflict of the 21st century may be between the West and terrorism but terrorism is a tactic and not a belief. The underlying battle will be between modern civilization and anti-modernist fanatics; between those who believe in the primacy of the individual and those who believe that beings owe blind allegiance to a higher authority; between those who give priority to life in this world and those who believe that human life is no more than preparation for an existence beyond life; between those who believe that truth is revealed solely through scripture and religious dogma, and those who rely primarily on science, reason, and logic.

people sat and ignored the fact that there were older people being tossed about on the bus and none of them offered their seats to them. They were oblivious-on their cell phones, i-pods, etc. and it was as if the very thought of being courteous, considerate, or respectful wasn't even a part of their make-up. It really saddened me deeply that this society is so warped in what matters and what children are taught/not taught. So, where are aging populations treated with respect and it would be a given that a bus seat would be offered, by all the kids, without a blink of an eye? Name a place because I want to move there. The U.S. is doomed with this up and coming generation.

If you say your above having to be subject to the pascles wager argument.....then is it valid for a child who is told to clean his/her room and they will get reward later,or if they dont they will recieve a butt whoppin;is it valid for the child to plead pascles wager and not listen to anything the parent says?

Truthfully pascles wager is just a sorry excuse to not have to be obedient to God isnt it?
