I am doing some research on the type of clothing Queen Esther (in the Bible) would have worn during that time period. I do not even know where to begin? I need to know what kind of dress she would have worn, what her hair might have been like, her shoes, any other accessories like a crown etc etc etc Anyone know where I could find out?

I looked it up online; simply "Queen Esther" clothing...and got alot of costumes, and interestingly they were all purple w/ gold trim....at least 10 different sites 'specializing in costumes' came up with that..why? Possible that purple IS the 'royal' color, as well as gold sash/trim and the fact that her birth name was...Haddahed (sp..can't recall) which is 'myrtle' which is a color that most people associate with purple. As far as her other accessories can't help you there; with one exception; all Jewish women at that time wore a headcovering; ALWAYS. A tiara, etc? I do not know perhaps if she did it would be for ceremonial reasons.

Look up the year 480-465 BC, in Iran (which is where Queen Esther lived) and see if you can find any type of period clothing. I found this site: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/5646/history3.htm
