Why would God engage in punishment that seems so cruel?

My boyfriend is jewish and we have been together for two years and plan on being with each other a lot longer than that. While i know a little bit, im still confused, for instance, i know they believe in god, but do they still believe in jesus, just not the way we do. if someone could answer this i would be very pleased, i am dying to know more about this, please help me! thanks!

i have met some people who have experienced the vision of ghosts or spirits. while most of them are fake stories there are some whom i actually believe to be true. i myself have experienced such events in the past.
now as i have understood the bible never teaches anything about a devil. so to say that these ghostly visions are the work of a literal devil makes nonsanse because according to the bible a literal satan never exists. but i have read a story about how saul consulted the woman at endor and how she brought soloman to life and spoke as he did.
even though there is no such thing as a devil who causes these acts could there actually be something beyond our understanding that we know nothing about?
i like to hear from christians and anyone with comments?

Would you believe him. Because their are larger "distortions" of reality in the bible. If you do, note: blind faith ain't called blind for nothing. You how in a cartoon, theirs a herd of cows and one goes of a cliff? And all the others follow? Those are some dumb cows. Imagine the 1st cow is God, and the second are the other cattle.

Would you hammer in the morning or the evening all over this land? And which would be the greater sin - harassing the night owls with all that hammering or rousing them from REM sleep in the mornings?

How did it get its name? It just occured to me, that if I want to put something on my car I want to know what it is first. I have one at the front of my door, but I just don't know the story. Even the candy cane has a story, what's the fish?

Because that is furthest from the truth. A lot of us believe in God but we choose not to follow one certain religion entirely because of freedom of thought? Just something fun to try.

Open Windows standard sound recorder.
1. Start->Run. Type Sndrec32. Click OK.
2. Record something simple like "Hello" or your name.
3. Choose Menu Item "Effects", Click "Reverse".
4. Listen and try to mimic the way it sounds.
5. Record your voice the sound the way you mimic the reverse.
6. Choose Menu Item "Effects", Click "Reverse".
7. Play the recorded sound.
