I started to marvel at my hands from the age of 8! There is no imperfection only that which one does not see!

The human body is NOT perfectly suited to the terrain, if it was, we wouldn't pave sidewalks would we. In actuality our pelvises aren't turned enough. They are in a half-turned position that would work better if we walked on all fours half the time. That is why the lower back, the hips and knees in humans are so weak and subject to so many injuries and disabling issues as we age. We invented stairs because waling up hills is difficult for us, we fall more than other species and aren't able to walk up as steep a grade. We have many vestigial anatomic traits that use up space and energy and are subject to disease. We have no real need of toes, they are leftovers from when we needed them to hang onto branches. We would be as agile if not more so if our toes were fused save our big toe and if our big toe was one more toe wider. We have a great deal of trouble maneuvering in sand and snow and grassy underbrush like tundra. Biochemically, our systems are incredibly inefficient and there are some things that are just plain ridiculous and retarded.
We are in no way perfectly suited to anything. We work though, and that is why we survive, that is the nature of nature, as long as it works and is a little better than the guy standing next to you, it survives.

I know the beginning smell of a dead body. The guy was my friend and landlord. Bad heart caused by a car accident during boot camp some 30+ yrs before, so he was on meds and vitamins. Died styling his hair after a shower. His wife went shopping and came home an hour or so later (she said), and she came screaming to my cottage that she couldn t get the bathroom door open, but she thinks husband had heart attack because she sees him thru the window lying on the floor. Police, ambulance, coroner come eventually. Within a couple hours, I detected something like a vinegar-chemical smell. I didn t say anything to his wife, also my friend. In his case, it only took a couple hrs.

I live in Wales, if my body is so perfectly suited to the terrain, where is my waterproof hair and gills to help me survive the weather and cloven feet suitable for climbing rocky surfaces?

I swear the sheep are the only animals here that are actually perfectly suited to the terrain, and even they might need gills with all this flooding we're getting now!

I see no imperfection in anything....but I do see mystery in everything. Evolution is a marvelous force that has created such a creature as the human!

Ever had appendicitis? or a toothache? or cancer? or macular degeneration? or myasthenia gravis? or Lou Gehrig's disease? Where is the perfection in that? Evolution has brought H. sapiens to the point where it can survive the slings and fortunes of a cruel world, but the notion that it represents some sort of perfection is silly.

So what about your appendix? Or your little toe? We are quite the thrown together specimen. All kinds of crap that doesn't have any use any more.

I can see your back does not hurt. Let's say it is fairly suited, and it could improve.
