No one can understand the mind of God. But I also pondered this question, and I really believe that God allowed this, and knew this, before he even layed the foundation of the earth. The word tell us that nothing has authority but God. Even lucifer is confined by God's authority- he is running to God day and night tattling on us..God knew Eve would eat of the tree before He even made her. It is logical, that God made her, to bear life and multiply. Through coming to the knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve then began bearing children. Without this first sin, we would not be, and God wanted us. It is through our knowledge of good and evil, that we fall directly into God's will. If you dont know what evil is, you dont know what is good either. His ways are not our ways. We just cant limit God to our comprehension. Lucifer does not scare God, and does not have the power, to make us do anything. He can only trick us, into doing something bad. Even he is used, to accomplish God's work. What we see and what we know is only in part; like a mirror reflection in the dark- but when we are in His presense, then we will know. I cant explain to you without going on for days. If you are interested in this question, I would advise you to ask God for understanding. He will give it to you- when we pray we are to have faith and believe it has already been answered, so start looking for your lessons, they will be right in front of you! I have realized that everthing is a dominoe effect; it goes both frontwards and backwards at the same time. God is not confined to time and space like we are. If you ask God to give you wisdom He will. I know. I am not the most intellegant person on the planet; but I sought God, and He was faithfull to give me more knowledge of Him than I ever dreampt possible. I mean, 100 times more, than I ever anticipated when I asked. I wish I could just tell you, and everyone what I know, but I cant, you have to ask God for it, yourself.

Then what? Let Adam and Eve continue to live as robots?

Think.

Everything has a plan. Even Satan is but a tool towards achieving that plan. I guess by now Satan knows what is going on, but its really too late. Whatever he does will not achieve anything except to bring his destined followers to join him in hell.

To the guy who asked why not just make them with the knowledge? Well, the problem is, the angels are like that, they have the knowledge, but they do not have free will. Those who have free will instantly becomes devilish because no other will except that of God is allowed in the kingdom.

Man was made with free will, if you grant him the knowledge as well, then he is no different from the devils because there can be no other will except the will of God, the Father. Anything that is not the will of God, IS SIN.

You need beings who will freely and willingly subject their wills to you despite having the knowledge. Beings who have free will yet become one with you willingly and eternally. That is true worship. And only those who live IN CHRIST can achieve that.

I don't know if you fellas understand this. Perhaps I am feeding you too much solid foods.

Yeah, and why didn't god just make people with free will to begin with? Why the whole... Adam > Eve > Serpent > Temptation > Apple nonsense. If he knew what Eve was going to do, why waste time?

Just more evidence that the whole thing is a bunch of bunk.

God had no requirement to do stop Eve from doing anything. In fact, he didn't have to send his Son to die for us, either. He could have left us all in our sins and let us go to our own destruction. But He didn't, and that's a good thing!

God gave us a option to love him or no longer. I actually have a tendency to have self assurance the "punishment" or harshness of his movements became to instruct , that's what i will do. to grant them a potential to have self assurance in. human beings (maximum human beings) are very susceptible, they want to hold to a minimum of something this is effective a circulation, a drug , yet another individual, a god. issues that are business enterprise ,sturdy , and frighten us have a tendency to be the flaws that folk persist with. traits are a delicate occasion of this, each physique is well known by way of fact they want to slot in. why? by way of fact they want acceptance, why? by way of fact they worry rejection from something they suspect is bigger than themselves. for my area, i think his movements have been to attempt our potential, to attempt our loose will, and to coach those that he's effective. With the wish that it might help us to comprehend that he's the only we could desire to constantly persist with. The devil does issues "below the radar" in a fashion that seems candy ( on the start) issues that allure to us, he would not attempt to make us worry him he lies and manipulates us to do his bidding and then breaks us.<- this is basically to further instruct that element. He got here decrease back in a while to let us know that he does no longer be so harsh on us, and we've been in a downward spiral ever in view that. If we had no worry for the wrath of god. if he had no potential to give up us. we would by no skill give up. Adam and Eve ,they might have pushed the obstacles greater and greater. If we did no longer say "uncle" the devil easily might have gained us over from our roots out. ( from adam and eve to now)

You know, I've always viewed the eating of the forbidden fruit to be a good thing.

It separated humans from animals. We were able to make choices. We knew we were naked.

But, I guess God wanted us to have a choice--and we were just too damn curious to listen to him. I mean the fruit looks so sweet..just a small bite. It tastes so good! How can this be wrong?

Which reminds me: God wants us to CHOOSE Him. He wanted us to love and follow Him because we wanted to. Think about it: would you be happily married to a beautiful woman whom you loved who did not love you back? Sex would be horrible. Anyway--God wanted more than just blind servants. He wanted true love.

God doesn't test us. Satan does. God gave us life & free will (by letting Adam & Eve be able to choose to be tempted), so that we can learn & decide for ourselves if we want to believe & obey Him...or not.

God gave us the free choice to do whatever we want. They have chosen not to, they didn't obey God's word. and this eventually led to the downfall of men.

He gave us free will, which Eve used to disobey, then we (humanity) made our choices, that's why.
