I'm becoming intrested in the Wiccan Religion. Can someone please explain to me the concepts/basics? (ex: do they believe in god? jesus? do some also worship satan? can you be a wiccan and still believe/worship God and Jesus?) can u please explain the magik they do? please and thankyou!

I am very religous person and have watched him over the years beginning in 1987 when he sent out a letter to American bishops regarding them and was surprised by it's insensitive, harsh, and homophobic attitude. He actually blamed the violence and disrcrimination they have experienced on themselves. Secondly in 1993 a letter came out urging bishops to oppose their civil rights. Not to mention a more recent letter saying that the ones who are in relationships should and cannot recieve any sort of rights, nor respect from either the government or the public. So far he has failed to say anything of compassion or understanding towards them only an attitude of abuse, disregard and contempt.

What do you call it when someone doesn't believe in souls, spirits, afterlife, paranormal, reality, reincarnation, god(s), or anything like that? Like the non-belief in almost all average beliefs of the average person?

Of course I do not enjoy attacking a religion that has perhaps a billion adherents worldwide. Why do I do it? Because I don't believe that people know what the Roman Catholic church is. I don't think they realize how much this so called church has distorted and misinterpretted the Word of God. I don't think they can comprehend the blasphemy, how much disservice that has been done to the Lord Jesus through their teaching. Do I attack? Not really. I am not on any offensive. I am just hoping that someone out there might read what I have to say and take a good look at this organization that calls itself Christian and will from time to time even make the claim that it is the true church of God. It isn't. It never was, from its beginnings, nor will it ever be. This is a man made religion that serves the religious nature of mankind but does little or nothing to help people to find true faith and trust in the Saviour. Open your heart to the Lord Christ and search the Scriptures. Any comments?

Just wondering what people thought about the episode of "Our Unique Family" that aired tonight on TLC, featuring a Wiccan minister and her family. Wiccans, did you feel it was a reasonable and balanced portrayal? Non-Wiccans, how did it strike you?

Personally, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. I thought Rev. Kendra Vaughan Hovey was a friendly and eloquent spokesperson for that particular type of Wicca and that the producers of the show didn't set out to make the Wiccans look like freaks for the sake of an hour's entertainment.
