could this mean Satan got kicked out of heaven and became jesus? wat do u think?

With the Disciples of Christ, Evangelical Lutherans, Episcopalians, United Church of Christ, Metropolitan Church, Methodist, etc. starting to be "open and affirming" while conservative denominations and pentecostal churches saying no way, how do you feel? Luke 10:19 says: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

I read a few comments here on Yahoo Answers, by people who say since Christians can be physically hurt, this scripture is false. This is taking scripture out of context, something Satan uses OFTEN to trip up and confuse Believers and Non-Believers.

Of course we feel pain and can be hurt. However, if you read the verses directly before Luke 10:19 it clearly reveals Jesus is referring to spiritual forces of wickedness.

Satan or demons may oppress, tempt, mock, or spiritually attack Believers, but they can not bring harm to a Believer from the spirit realm if they are filled with the Holy Spirit, and function with the authority and power of God. Luke 10:19 is not referring to physical hurt!

Christians how do you describe the power of prayer? Have you personally witnessed demonic oppression stop after prayer?

evolution is proven. the world appeared and the organisms evolved into plants and so on until dinosaurs and then humans from monkeys.in the bible it says man was first on the earth, and since dinosaurs are proven that means it went man, dinosaur then man......the bible cant make an excuse for that. all people who beleive in religion, i just proved you wrong, what now!

I am trying to compare and contrast Christian beliefs about God to Muslim beliefs about God (or Allah).

Christians believe God is active in the world and in the lives of Christians. He acts through the Holy Spirit, an aspect of God (1 part of the 3-part Trinity). He speaks directly to believers, being present in the hearts of believers, and gives personal, individual attention to all at all times.

Do Muslims believe any such thing? Is Allah active in the world? Does Allah go with them in their battles? Does He give personal attention to all (or some) Muslims at all times?

Please point me to specific verses of the Qu'ran that can shed some light on this matter. Thanks!

Is it b/c he's a true,straight down to the bone preacher who preaches what God lays on his heart?I think he's a WONDERFUL preacher truth be told he's my favorite preacher!Do u not like him b/c he don't tickle your ears and stratch your back,instead he preaches the hide off your back?I love him and his preachin' as a matter of fact he jus came to my church this passt week and preached revival! IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!But why U hate him so much?

Would you be oppose to it, if religion was taught in school as an ELECTIVE class, which means that the kids decide if they want to take it or not? And as long as the class teaches all the world religions? Would you still be oppose to it?
I use to think that it was ridiculous to put religion in schools. But shouldn't that be the kids' decision on whether or not they want to learn about it?

I'm an atheist, by the way....Just so people don't think I'm some fundie-theist trying to get religion in school.
