Mashiach - commonly translated into 'Messiah'.
It means: anointed one.
It was also used for the Kings of the Old Testament who were believed to be anointed by God to 'save the people'.

there is no one who fits that description in any of our sacred texts.
our salvation comes from god, not man
the mashiach mentioned in our torah is more of a political figure (like a jewish dr. king with a happier ending)
