I ask for logical answer. I get foul language.I should have known better.
But you know,I kind of expected childish
answers. The one person who answered only 144,000 people will make it into heaven.
The fact is 144,000 Jews will realize Jesus ,as the Son of God and will become evangelists after the rapture.
Like I said read it first than make comments.
I spent years on researching Revalations.

I am a Christian, I will start by letting you know that.

I also believe in the warnings in the Bible.

My response to you is this: Why would an unbeleiver care what the Bible says? They do not respect the book.

Revelations is an odd book. It can be interpritied many different ways just like nostradamuses' writings. But back to your question. Yes I know it says that in the final days there will be many people who don't believe in god or that mock him. But are you fully aware that around two-thirds of the people in this planet don't believe in your god. Whether they believe in other religions or don't beleive in any that's about 4 billion people. I don't make too much of revelations and I don't even worry when the world will end because I have much better things to do.

If I don't believe what a book written at a time of ignorance tells me about a divine being then why should I care what it tells me about me not getting to Heave, etc... Logically, the Bible has been wrong about many things and blatantly contradicts itself on many occasions.

Religion is created to explain the unexplainable. Modern science can be used to explain all events. Therefore, in today's age, we need no religion.

Stop reading that bedtime story and pick up a science book.

It's not a "warning" as Christians believe (ie, a prophesy). It's a detailed polemic against the corruption of the Roman Empire in its last days, of which John considered the (political, anti-Roman) teachings of Jesus to be crucial in its downfall. He was right - Rome embraced the Christian church, overreached itself militarily and collapsed. Naturally John saw the reestablishment of Israel as the perfect outcome for God's people, and the resurgence of the Roman Empire as the worst thing imaginable against them. It's a document about local news. It has no relevance today.

Can I ask why you think an atheist or agnostic would care what the book of some religion says? That's kind of like asking you what you think about the warnings in a novel you read.

ok logical you want...logical you shall get...

i am not a christian i have my own take on things, thats neither here nor there...the logical answer to me i that they dont think anything about them...they probably dont read the Book of Revelation...i dont...so i assume that unless they have another reason for reading the Book of Revelations for example study then they dont think about it because they are either unaware or uninterested in it...

i dont mean any offense...i am not a christian but respect everyones beliefs as long as they dont ram them down my throat...an harm none do what ye will...;0)

Any simple-minded person knows that the Book of Revelations, historically, has nothing to do with the end of the world but of John the Divine warning his fellow Christians of Nero and his hate crimes against them.

I think the book of revelations is mythical. At worst, it is an epic account of the writer's dream about the end of the world. At best, it refers to the authors wishes for the fall of the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire fell 1,500 years ago. So this book no longer holds any relevance for me.

For a completely honest answer...I've read the Bible several times, both as a believer and a non-believer, and as a non-believer, I DON'T think about the warnings in the Book of Revelations. It's like a fiction novel.

I personally think that Revelations is a fun read if you're in the mood for blood and gore, but not to be taken seriously.

You can't apply logic to the Bible because the Bible is completely illogical.

Why would an Atheist care any more about the warnings in the book of revelations than they do about predictions in the National Enquirer? They are both equally lacking credibility and merit. YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!
