I've just had *another* christian mailing me and claim I have a religion. I've never been told this by a non-christian.

Of course, American christians are the only religious folk that claim their religion isn't one.

What's going on here?

I would like to receive the Eucharist, I realize how important and holy it is, taking Jesus body and blood. However, I am not a member of the Catholic church, and other than watching it on EWTN, I don't attend mass. I am going to go for instruction, but classes start in the fall. It just seems strange to go to mass and leave before the Eucharist, and not take part in it. Anyway, that's what I have read and want to know of any Catholics answer to this.

My question is why are some faiths quick to pass judgement against real psychic who could tap this consciousness inherent in us and exhibit capability more than a soul? Had you by any chance watched Psychic Investigator in Discovery channel?

I think its getting a little tiresome of who some of you guys will bring up some aspect about a belief that you think automatically disproves that belief. In this point in time, no religion or belief system can be disproved or confirmed as true. I think there needs to be less questions that start "how can *insert religioin* be true when..." because you just wont get anywhere. You might think a certain belief system has to be false or true, but I'd bet my life savings to a dollar that you don't know everything there is to know about it.

How many religious businesses are there in America?..

I refer to all the Churches and their various faiths, and thier off-shoots.. including the cults.

In a protestant service (so no transubstantiation, no intinction), when the the leader gives you the bread with the words "Body of Chr-st", and/or the cup with the words "Blood of Chr-st", what is the appropriate verbal response?

"Amen" seems a little short, "Thank you" ridiculous. "Thanks be. . . ." or "Praise be . . .?"

I am sure there is an answer, I just don't know it. Growing up, we always had pass-the-plate self-serve, so this is a new to me.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I have done various research on Kabbalah and have read the following:
Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Creation)
Bahir (Book of Illumination)

I only know of one other which is the largest I have yet to read called the Zohar. However in an overview book simply entitled Kabbalah by Gershom Scholem which goes on to detail important concepts I have not found in the above books. Please let me know if your familiar with true early writtings. I am guessing the Talmud and Zohar but maybe more?
