Works for me. Makes as much sense as any of the mindless babble that passes for christian doctrine.

Lucifer literally means "the Shining One" or "Lightbringer" or "Son of the Morning". Before Lucifer became Satan, he was one of God's elect. He was a choice spirit and probably had a lot of power, however he rebelled. This may have not been so bad (Don't we all 'rebel' when we break the commandments?) However, not only did he rebel, but he sought to take the kingdom of our God and His Christ. He tried to take God's place.
Jesus is the First Born, God's Only Begotten. He gave up His own will. Luke 22:42 "...nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."
They are not the same person. If you look at the works of these two, there is no way that they could be mistaken for one another. Yes, Lucifer was once a Son of the Morning, but he gave up that name/title when he fought against God. Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Son of the morning vs. bright and morning star are not at all the same thing. Lucifer(satan) can appear as an angel of light(son of the morning) ,and was himself one, an anointed cherubim (angelic created being),who rebelled and was cast to earth with 1 third of the angels....Jesus (Yeshua) was before and after David, read -Genesis 1:26-29, Let us make man in our own image. And even appeared to, Moses,Abraham, and many others as the pre-incarnate Messiah. His Star was the King star, which appeared at the feet of the lion of the tribe of Judah and alines with the branch in the hand of Bet hula(Virgo, the virgin constellation) . The magi followed it to His home at about 2yrs of age (Matt.2:11) So
His title is complete, and clear evidence revealed to all who search it out! That's why I follow Him! the olive tree root, shoot, tree of life, and The bright and morning star to who ever His face, and glorious countenance, is turned toward!

ANGELS ARE CALLED MORNING STARS AND SONS OF GOD
Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
