Internet search showed many references to Kierkegaard and The Common Man, but no reference for Kierkegaard's original work probably entitled "The Common Man". Specifically looking for his quote "...always in the process of becoming.".

I just found out a friend of mine lost a talisman her mom gave her a long time ago to ward off evil sprits. Apparently it was melted down by one of her enemies for reasons un-said. Does anyone know a way I can make her a new one? I think it would make her feel a bit more secure, even if I've never tried a spell before. she knows more than I do, but maybe if I try it on my own it could help a bit more. Any suggestions?

Why does God not have to follow a higher standard of morality than the Pagan gods He's supposedly so superior to?!? If Baal ordered his followers to commit genocide, you would rightly condemn it, but if YOUR deity gives the same command, you make excuses for Him! WHY? Do you really not care whether your deity has better values than the others?

It seems to me that although synagogues and churches offer Wednesday and Sunday Schools...they still do not incorporate the middle school and high school age kids into the life of their house of warship. Most synagogues (as a Jew more familiar with that) and churches (according to my Christian friends) do not provide to kids programs that would channel their creativity or knowledge. Hence, we have more and more youth that are alienated from worship services and choose not to come to their house of warship. I see it more and more now a days both in the Christian and Jewish world.
So, what are your suggestions on how we can attract more middle and high school representation in our respective houses of warship?

Why do you guys attack the Catholic Church so much but never mention the Orthodox who have nearly identical beliefs? I am not advocating that you do attack them I just don't know why you hate us. I think it would actually be better if you would spread peace in the name of Jesus instead of starting arguments. That is only my opinion, but I do know Jesus is the Prince of Peace, not the Prince of uneccessary arguments.

* Wisdom Teeth - there isn't room on your jaw for them anymore.
* Your little toe - totally useless. Nice intelligent design here.
* Your appendix - totally useless now but it does digest cellulose in other species.
* Your inner eyelids - They don't even work now, but they do for lots of other animals like house cats. Bet you didn't even know you had 'em.
* Vestigial DNA - meaning chromosomes that we have but don't use, but that used in other species. We have several that other primates use but are totally useless to us.
* Your tail bone. It is even not that uncommon to be born with a tail.
* Goosebumps - this would be useful if we had fur because it fluffs it and make more insulation. For us it is worthless.
* The hair standing up on your neck when you are frightened. Animals use this to make themselves look bigger. Doesn't work when you walk upright and don't have fur.

It's more than obvious that God gave us these useless body parts to remind us how much we are like the animals.

reading the Bible and praying? God only inspired the Bible. I see so many people reading books, like the Tim LeHaye series, they spend hours reading, ask them something about scripture and they are usually clueless. Why can't you see it's just a ploy to get you away from the Bible? Does anyone else feel this way?

Those people sounded pretty well grounded except for one thing. I really didn't know that that LDS teaches that black people were cursed with blackness by god b/c they are thought to be the descendants of Cain. The guy they were interviewing said it with a STRAIGHT FACE. Is it just that sect that teaches this or is it all of LDS?

Is there a specific flower traditionally associated with the Jewish or the Russian-Jewish nationality or faith?

My nephew and his fiance have asked me to design and paint their Ketubah. I am incorporating several images including flowers that symbolize their ancesteral backgrounds. She is Russian/Jewish.

Have combed the Net but can't find anything specific. Have also emailed several rabbies but nothing has come of that.

Please help!
