Why do you guys attack the Catholic Church so much but never mention the Orthodox who have nearly identical beliefs? I am not advocating that you do attack them I just don't know why you hate us. I think it would actually be better if you would spread peace in the name of Jesus instead of starting arguments. That is only my opinion, but I do know Jesus is the Prince of Peace, not the Prince of uneccessary arguments.

This is the same question I asked myself when I was Catholic.

Mostly, the attacks I have seen and experienced are built on false premises. They are rooted in misinformation, a lot of times feed to them by their pastors. And the worst thing about it is that one can't help them understand Catholics better.

Orthodox do have similar beliefs - but I think the reason why we don't hear more bashing on them is that they just aren't as numerous in the US.

Hate is fueled by fear, fear is fueled by ignorance. Many perfer to remain ignorant then to truly understand why Catholics are the way they are.

Keep your chin up - and keep trying to teach those that attack you.

The average person doesn't know or understand that the schism between Catholicism and Orthodox Christianity is mostly a political difference within the Catholic doctrine started in 1054.

When people voice their negative opinions about the Catholic Doctrine we mean everyone who embraces it.

We don't hate the Catholics we just believe the Catholic faith breaks the second and third commandments, just go to a mass and look at all the graven images.

Sorry, I don't mean to be offensive but I won't lie either.

I'm not a fundamentalist (whatever that means), but I don't understand your post. Generally when people say fundamentalist, they refer to orthodox, but you think they're different groups. And there are tons of differences between orthodox and Catholic beliefs, so many that no quick answer is possible. Unless you mean something else by orthodox than orthodox Christian.

But all agree that Jesus is Lord, so let's spend our time praising Him, not arguing.

See answer below mine where the shoe is on the other foot. You are ignorant if you disagree? You hate and fear? WOW!

Well there is a difference between hate and believing someone is wrong. Hate is obviously wrong and any evangelical hating because some chooses to believe differently is apparently wrong. Pointless arguing is also wrong...it goes no where. But when it comes to issues as significant as eternal destiny, there should be discussion if one feels someone else is in error. It's not arrogant to do such. Arrogant would be to assume that no one knows the answer therefore all belief systems are equally valid. That is the worst form of arrogance because it's generally elusive to the proponent.

Because Catholic is universal and more broadspread than Orthodox. Plus you teach another Jesus and false doctrine.

We dont' hate you!! Who said that? I know I care! That is why I bring up certain things that are not biblical and that DO pertain to salvation, when it comes to catholocism. If I did not care about you I would not even bother wasting my time....Yes Jesus is the Prince of Peace! Amen to that!

I am a Fundamentalist Christian, and I believe
it is wrong to engage in,"Catholic Bashing". I do not do it, while I do have disagreement with Catholicism, I will not sanction attacking another Christian because I differ with him.

They attack you because your church has done things (like admit that Galileo was right, albeit 500 years after intelligent people accepted it) which call into question the literal truth of the bible.
