Am I being punished? Why is the very opposite happening? Some cruel joke? The chances of running into him are so slim yet since I've prayed, it's happened several times against odds! What's going on here?

I think that religion is made up to make us feel at ease with ourselves, it also makes us do evil things, religion does more harm then good. I believe that Evolution is the truth and that we came from the development of monkeys, they are our ancestors. let's here your opinions????

note: this is completely serious and not meant to be disrespectful, dont take offense.

first: where is scriptural reference to having these "guardian" angles.

second: the bible clearly defines angels as being human like, and we have the ability to see them.

Genesis 6:4 talks about angels coming down and taking women as their wives.

other stories indicate angels comeing down and walking with humans, looking similar to humans.

so where did u come up with the idea they are invisible and guarding u?

evolution and creationism..

why don't many christians see the theory on evolution as simply another wonder of god, something that he may not have fully revealed? to me it would seem a simple, non-divine, answer to the question of how we got here to say that we were simply put here 6000 years ago, along with all the creatures that surround us..
while the explanation of how we got here that says that it was a wonderful process that developed over time, which sounds much more complex and beautiful (how many describe god's work) seems more divine and fitting

again, thank you for your responses and i hope no one takes this as an attack upon their religion.. just asking questions about it because i respect it

Mine would be when Satan tempts Christ by taking him to a "very tall" mountain to see all the kingdoms on earth. This would have included kingdoms in China, Norway, North and South America.

What other flat earth stuff have we got?

Catholic Christians say so. Orthodox Christians say so. Some of the Protestant denominations also agree. If you call yourself Christian it usually means that you believe Jesus is God in the flesh. It is clearly stated in the Bible that Mary is the Mother of Christ. If you believe Jesus is God and Mary is His Mother, how is Mary not the Mother of God?

Who is the King of Darkness?

I'll even give you 2 hints:

1 - You worship Him.

2 - Isaiah 45:7 - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Sorry I didn't explain my position well on this question!! I AM a born again Christian, who is against abortion and literally believe ALL of the Word of God!! I'm new to this website since yesterday, so bear with me. I just would like to hear from someone who knows the Bible well to answer this, as I want to understand how anyone who doesnt live out their life can attain eternity with God. I meant that given a choice, I would rather die before the age of accountability, given up this earthly life and gone to heaven, than to live many yrs on earth and as some will end up in hell. Example: if Jon Doe goes to hell after living life to an old age, due to his refusing the gift of salvation, wouldn't he be much better off if he had been aborted or died as a very young child if these babies, young children automatically go to heaven? Abortion IS murder, Amen!, but that wasn' t my point, sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for the answers so far! fyi: I know I'm going to heaven.

Many Atheists have an education deeply rooted in biblical studies and theology from the same schools that produced Christian clergy and church leaders.

They have each examined the same scriptures, learned Greek & Hebrew along side one another, and often shared dormitory rooms and studied in study groups together.

What causes these "two peas from the same pod" to produce such different results?

Why are the biblically-educated Atheists unconvinced of God's reality?
Why are the Christian graduates from the same programs not convinced that God is imaginary?

This verse 'Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.' clearly states that humans' inferiority in comparison to God's ways and thoughts. Yet, Bible interpretators would claim their interpretation for certain verse is correct to the dot. They accuse others as blasphemious in their interpretations which counter or oppose theirs.
I feel God's omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence transcend his word recorded in the Bible. Supposing he wants to give us more than what are the promises in the bible (please always remember his ways and thoughts are above humans') (because somehow and somewhere interpretators may have missed what God actually wants to say or to give). These people therefore put God or bind God by the very word He said in the Bible. So now God is hand tied. He could only do what he has said (remember the above statement). How dare humans use the very Bible to confine God to a parameter?
