yeah i think that too.
religion has caused nothing but war and chaos
but then if people were smart enough to have their own beliefs AND have an open mind maybe religion wouldnt be that bad.

No. No. And No. You are wrong on all counts.
Religion does not make us do evil things. But evil people do use "religion" to justify their evil actions. All the worlds most prevalent religions are based on peace and love, not hate and violence.
The theory of evolution is only a theory, and a bad one at that. The theory has more holes than a 10 pound Swiss cheese. If we were evolved from monkeys (which is just totally laughable) there would no longer be monkeys. Everything that we know is made up of some combination of the same DNA strands. But we are all separate and complete in our own right.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for evolution and that you recognize the truth in it...
However I'd point out that according to evolution we didn't evolve from monkeys (that's misinformation spread by the church as part of an old smear campaign). According to evolution, apes and us share a common ancestor (which is now long extinct). We're not descended from apes, they're just extremely distant cousins. You can also say that apes evolved from humans and be equally inaccurate.
Otherwise I agree that religion is the cause for most of the world's ills. Watch the BBC documentary "The Root of Evil" with Richard Dawkins to learn more about that...

Evolution is definitely real. Evidence for it abounds.
Some religions can cause evil by teaching intolerance and the idea that any one group of people is in any way more righteous than another.

I believe in evolution, but I also believe in higher powers in the universe. Is religion evil? I don't believe so. The gross abuse of the teachings of all religions is what is truly in my mind. I don't believe in any organized religion, but there are powerful messages to be learned from in all faiths. Man has, over the millenia, managed to distort, change, and abuse those messages for greed and power...quite sad really.

I don't think so. How could intelligence spring from the big bang, settle in molten rock as the earth formed, and then passed from rock into life forms that came from rock and dust. How would the outcome ever experience love? There are enough questions concerning this reality, where the physical evidence must eventually be known as questionable.

I don't know all about your ancestors, but mine didn't swing from a tree.
Religion can be very wrong and cause worse things: agreed
Don't agree with evolution:
Am a Christian who considers religion to have nothing to do with the relationship I have with God.

Yes, but we share a common ancestor with Apes, not monkeys.
Religion was started, for power, control & money.
I watch this thing on the history channel, about temple tricks, to get ppl to believe, in the gods.

Religion itself isn't evil, but it gets used to justify evil a lot. It is made up.
Evolution is certainly real.
