Who is the King of Darkness?
I'll even give you 2 hints:
1 - You worship Him.
2 - Isaiah 45:7 - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Check: I do read the Bible in context. It says right there "I create darkness." Since you say EVERYTHING comes from God, why do you think that does not apply to good and evil? Satan does not CREATE darkness, God does.

You bring up an interesting point. Exactly when is the Bible to be taken literally and when is it not? Conservative Christians make up the most bizarre excuses (explanations) for the countless inconsistencies in the Bible.
However, I do not think you have to rely on this particular statement anyway. Just look the behavior of their God. He was killing almost at the same rate he was creating. Further, he killed his own son. I do not see how a being can be more evil than that.

Christians have a different view on Satan than those who actually wrote the OT - Jews.
Look at the book of Job. Satan is an adversary. He is in heaven with God, talking about Job and sent by God to show what true faith is. Satan is not protrayed here as the prince of darkness, or given any power.
Jews believe that God created all things and has power over all things. Satan does not rule anything, nor does he have power. Period. God created everything, and God rules alone.
It is only in the NT and in Christian thought that Satan is called the ruler of this earth, the prince of darkness, the angel of light yadda yadda yadda.

You read the Bible? Good then you will have noticed that it does not refer to satan as the prince of darkness. This is a monicker given by man.
Creating evil refers to physical evil... calamity etc. He is speaking in context of the physical here, He makes peace... meaning wellness, good times, etc. and evil meaning hard times, disaster, etc.
Amos 3:6 is a similar case... 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Thanks for playing though.

Wow, what silly rebuttals (the other answers). God created EVERYTHING. If he created Satan, than he certainly created everything that Satan does.
And if evil means natural disasters and darkness means night, does that mean that's what Satan does and that whole "horrible deeds" rap that Satan has is a mistranslation?

Silly biblically-illiterate kid. The word "evil" there means "calamity" -- as in natural disasters. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to decipher this. The 'King James Version' has lots of word-mistranslations like that.
Yes, he creates "darkness" -- hence the NIGHT. Your biblical-illiteracy skills can't prove anything.

hmmm.... don't see the phrase "King of Darkness" anywhere in that scripture passage, or anywhere else.
A prince is a ruler that has limited power. The devil is a ruler because we placed him there, he does NOT have unlimited power. Therefore, he cannot be called a "King."

Of course God would be 100% responsible for evil if he existed, which he does not.
