Acts 17:11 (New International Version)
"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."
Can you imagine being there with the Bereans at this time in history? The Apostle Paul, while on his missionary journey, stops by to do some teaching. You sit and listen to him speak, when he is done, you go home and take out your Bible and check on Paul, they wanted to be sure what he had said was true.
What a great lesson for every Christian. We too often put all of our faith and trust in the preacher or teacher and fail to search the Scriptures to verify that they are accurate. I understand why this happens, after all, you may have come to know and trust this teacher, and the thought is, he is never wrong, he takes his gift very seriously. We need to keep something in mind, he is only human and has the ability to error! Even the very best may get
