You might not want to hear what he has to say but the time will come when everyone on earth, above the earth and under the earth will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father, but the greatest treasure remains for those who gladly choose to do that now!

Suicide is not allowed, but Fasting is. Couldn't you Fast for 30 days or so, which would probably kill you, and then go straight to Heaven without wasting time on this useless earth? And wouldn't god praise you for your devotion to him, making this a win-win situation?

I mean, assuming you REALLY believe in Heaven...

Time and again, I have heard people ask "what, exactly, do Christians believe?" I think this says it nicely:

We belive in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. We belive in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God. Through him all things were made.

For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified; he suffereed death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

I find it absurd that so many people love to point out the faults in the Bible. What I think is even more absurd is they actually think Jesus did bad things and wasnt perfect. Why do people love to take things out of context just to fit their own internal agenda? Are people really trying to trick themselves into actually believing that that Jesus and the Bible as a whole doesn't practice or preach peace? I feel you keep trying to justify your own personal motives for something you are bent on rejecting.

What do you think the % is in the real world?

Everytime I see an anti-semitic post, I get annoyed....and then I notice that almost every single person, as one, condemns that person.

This includes Chrsitian Fundamentalists who I tend to dislike in almost every other way. They almost all condemn this type of thinking. Thank you.

I am curious what the actual numbers are....

What are the differences and similarities between these two texts. The gospels were all written from the same sources, but there are differences, right? And I guess the similiarities are the truest most important parts of the gospels? Anyway, Im wondering what the differences/similarities are between John and Luke for the the crucifixion...

i guess the kind of things I am wondering about are thematic concerns, narrative details, and stylistic presentation.

i am finding it hard to understand how some people believe the whole evolution theory. how some believe that everything is just here because of some random chemical reactions in the universe? everything could not have just happened by chance. how can people not believe that there is not a higher intelligence and that we were created?

Numbers 31:14-35
"Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who returned from the battle.
15 "Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

25 The LORD said to Moses, 26 "You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the community are to count all the people and animals that were captured. 27 Divide the spoils between the soldiers who took part in the battle. 32 The plunder remaining from the spoils that the soldiers took was 675,000 sheep, 33 72,000 cattle, 34 61,000 donkeys 35 and 32,000 women who had never slept with a man."

Let's look at the evidence. We find this in 1 Corinthians chapter 14:
As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
Typical Christian response: Oh you took the words out of context

Judges 11:29 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah. He crossed Gilead and Manasseh, passed through Mizpah of Gilead, and from there he advanced against the Ammonites. 30 And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD : "If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."

32 Then Jephthah went over to fight the Ammonites, and the LORD gave them into his hands. 33 He devastated twenty towns from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith, as far as Abel Keramim. Thus Israel subdued Ammon.

34 When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of tambourines! She was an only child. Except for her he had neither son nor daughter.
