Probably the usual time, about a year or so. About 6-7 months, a baby becomes interested in putting other things into its little mouth ... well okay, they want to put everything into that slobbery face lol. By a year, breast milk only supplements what should be a fairly sustaining diet of food. It's also a good time to introduce regular milk, thereby further reducing the need for mom's milk.
In those days, it was also about the time mom had another little one, and the 1 year old's mouth got replaced by the little brother.

All babies were breast fed. Moses was given to his own mother to be breast fed, by the princess who "found him", because she could not do it herself.
The conditions must be right for the breast to have milk at all.
Normal breast feeding stops when the infant can take solid food, or milk from a container. Usually goats milk.

Yes, because there was no formula in those days. All children were breastfed. Since I'm not old enough to have lived during the first century, I have no knowledge of when he was weaned. Many children today aren't weaned until 3-4 years of age, and there are some women who come to their children's school to feed them.

I'm sure that she probably did, and I make this assumption because most mothers living in that time breastfed their kids. Its free, readily available nutrition ... and I don't think that they manufactured baby formula back then. As far as how long, I'm sure he was breastfed until his little stomach was able to digest whole milk properly. And considering that I don't have any kids of my own, I don't know the answer to that question.
The bible doesn't really provide that much information about Jesus' childhood.

That is not something that is recorded because it is not necessary to know for salvation. However, I would assume that mary did breast feed. Remember Moses and how pharoah's daughter had to find a woman to feed him?

>>Did Mary breast feed baby Jesus?<<
No doubt. One of her titles is "Our Lady of the Milk".

At that time and place, what other options were there? I imagine that HE was but I can not say since HIS early years are not published for your enjoyment. Have a great evening.

I don't know and it really isn't something that is important for me to know. Today, the Catholic Church indeed celebrates the Feast of Mary, Mother of God----------indeed her biggest and most precious title---it makes me think (and appreciate) the fact that this most loving of mothers said the following to Venerable Sister Mary Villani: "After the title of Mother of God, I rejoice most in that of Advocate of Sinners." Thank you Lord for giving us also this most loving and beautiful Mother of yours as our mother and advocate.
