the rountine kills creativity of living...work and imposed study is part of survival although you learn to take pleasure in it....the joy of creation and living can be experienced only if we allow ourself\ves to be free by all external conditioning.....

One day or night Harrient Tubman was cleaning or picking cotton or doing something inslaved (under the order of another).

There had to be an 'ahhh' moment that everything changed for her.... she looked around and in her heart she was no longer a slave... she was free! She might have still physically been on the plantation and looked like a slave but in HER mind she was FREE.... she was free before she ever stepped foot off of that plantation.... she made the choice to no longer be a slave...

My question is what do you think her first thought was the moment she was FREE within? Did she look around and chuckle? Did she look around to see if anyone else felt/heard that "ahhh" that she just felt? Did she think she was crazy?

What do you think her first thought was?
Imagine how mind blowing that first second for her must have been when she made the choice to no longer be a slave.....

WOW

I should know better than to ask christians about logic, buuuuut...

According to christians, god is omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all powerful), and infallible (doesn't err)

Since god is all of those things, he would have known, before creation, the destiny of all people for all time. Therefore:

1) No one has free will because god made you the way you are, knowing full well the outcome of your life.
2) god made people with the intent of making them suffer, when he could have done otherwise.
3) god made Hitler, Stalin, and every mass murderer in all of history.

So, given that information, is god not omnipotent, not omnicient and not infallible? Or is god intentionally cruel to people without cause, by condemning a selection of people from the moment of creation?

The best answer without invoking a cop out will get the prize.
Cop outs include:
We can't know god's will
We wouldn't know good without evil
god doesn't control free will (thus isn't omniscient)

Is it possible that, instead of Mary becoming impregnated by God, she had premarital sex with Joseph (or worse, someone else) and made up the story to cover it up?

1.)"survival of the fittest", Have we evolved to a point where our morals conflict with our survival since people generally help those who are disabled, sick, poor, since it's the right thing to do?

2.)Why did we evolve into "spiritual/God believing" organisms, In what ways does this trait help us to survive or live better? Is it normal/smart to go against this trait?

Animals live in total harmony, not worrying about what or who created the universe. You don't see orangatangs going to war with gorillas because they dont believe they came from the same place... Note: not sure if i spelled orangatangs correctly =)

Kalki Purana says:
1. The meaning of Asura is those who do not drink sura (soma/alcohol/liquor)
2. Asuras will breed fast in the earth - fastest growing population.
3. Asuaras involve in mundane and physical sexual pleasure - they can have multiple wives.
4. Asuras derive pleasure from killing cows.
5. Asuras enjoy killing "sajjana" (good and innocent people)
6. Their Guru (Master/Prophet) will be similar to Sukracharya and their worship day will be Sukravar (Friday).
7. While normal human beings and gods will grow their hair in the head and shave off facial hairs (moustache and beard), Asuara will do the other way around.
8. Asuaras will be a blind faith cult and will not believe in cosmic truth.
9. Asuras ="vigraha-bhanjags" - they break idols everywhere and will not worship idols.
10. Asuras do not believe in education and destroy "vijnana" (knowledge). They destroy gurukula (ancient universities and libraries).
Which religion did Kalki talk about?

The Remnant Fellowship church instructs it's follows to beat their children and now parents of a child who beat their child to death are standing trial. Apparently the boy was not praying hard enough. Isn't it frightening how some religions can read the bible in a way that makes them think this is ok?

Whatever you believe spiritually, can you possibly agree with the statements on this video just because they involve the word "God"? Earlier, someone claimed to be angry because I "had a problem" and no ideas for a solution. (He was also a bit ticked that I had somehow insulted "his" religion). My solution? Recognize that this country was supposedly founded on the notion of freedom, and religious autocracy anywhere is dictatorial. People need to stop blaming homosexuals for "moral decay" and recognize that terrorism everywhere - it is not part and participle of Islam only, nor did it begin because someone was gay. The hatred exhibited by these politicians and leaders is no different than the rhetoric Saddam Hussein used to spew. How is such blatant hypocrisy reasonable? How does one reconcile freedom with an insistence upon one religion?

I am a born-agian Christian and i am trying to find scripture proving one way or another. What do you believe, and PLEASE have scripture to back it up.

Does someone go to hell if they have never had the chance to even hear the gospel? Like if they live in a remote tribe in Africa that no outsider has reached? What about the babies that have been aborted, or small children that die before they are old enough to understand?

I have been researching this, and i have found many opinions, but no real concrete biblical answer. Pray that I will find an answer for this, even if the answer is just no one but God knows. I trust Him with my life, so I'll trust Him with this, too.

God "helped" the Isrealites win many wars to take over Isreal. Why wouldn't God want them all living together, did he present himself to these people and then they worshipped false idols, or were they just screwed from the start. And better yet why doesn't God promote unity. Oh if he did promote unity, he wouldn't help people in war.
