The soul. It is your true Self. The soul is the awareness you have of your own self. You acknowledge your existence, appearance, personality and identity through an awareness which transcends the body and mind.

This awareness of your being is from the soul. The mind is a function of the brain. It is a storehouse of life experiences both past and present. These experiences stored in the mind mould our personality and define our character on the physical plane.

It would depend completely on what is being responded to...If you asked me if I had a cold, you would be asking about a bodily function. "I" in that case would be this physical person responding to a physical question. If you asked me faith, my answer would come from my spirit because that is where the Holy Spirit lives within me. The mind is simply the control panel if you know what I mean. Our intellect is not our spirit although it can represent the spirit when thoughts or words are needed. I know that sounds like a run around but that is the best I can do. The soul incidentally is our life force. That which makes us alive. When we die, both our spirit and soul leave the body (and brain).

For me "I" refers to the entirety of myself...mind, soul, body. the three are inseperable and even when specifically referring to any one of them the other two are automatically included, at least implicitly.

When I talk I try to be as honest as possible, to reduce misunderstandings and problems, so I think I strive for a balance of both, my moral code and intellect.

When *I* say it ... *I* mean my soul. The mind can deceive, the soul cannot.
