(this below is borrowed from lokasenna, who gave a great answer to someone else's question)

He's more of a angry war God then anything else. His named means ever-flowing and dated back to his origins as a volcano deity. It's a very bad idea to invoke him, he's one of the most dangerous deities due to his temper.

I think the Christian concept of God doesn't exist at all. It's impossible and contradictory. They endow him with too many attributes that doesn't match with his personality and define him into non-existence with the omnipotence and omni benevolent propaganda.

what are your thoughts on that?

Before reading further it is important to note that it would be a severe blow to evolutionary theory if there had been no evidence to support the hypothesis stated below. This falsifiability is what makes evolution science (as opposed to ID).

======================================
All great apes apart from man have 24 pairs of chromosomes. There is therefore a hypothesis that the common ancestor of all great apes had 24 pairs of chromosomes and that the fusion of two of the ancestor's chromosomes created chromosome 2 in humans. The evidence for this hypothesis is very strong.

If you are wondering how the change from 24 to 23 chromosomes worked, read the best answer to this question:

What evolutionary process did God's ancestors go through before perfection was achieved? How many generations of gods were there before a creation god was born? Should we actually worship those gods that came before him? If we worship the creation god could we unknowingly be inviting the wrath of the previous gods?

Two recent questions posted by Mahal, apparently a member of the U.S. Military from the way he speaks, have accused us of not doing enough to prevent the Shi'a and other radical groups from committing terroristic acts. In a weird sense of it, he does bring up a good point. Is there anything you feel that we can do to help speak out against these radicals, who are giving the rest us a bad name, or are they too indulged in their belief that they are right that they are beyond help?

I know these things are bad for me but I am dying for a bag of Hot Fries. I keep Dr Pepper in my office so I'm straight with that...but I am seriously considering making a run to the gas station at the end of the road just to get a bag of Hot Fries. WWJD

Religion is deceptive with the verb and science is deceptive with the mathematics. A solar mass was calculated through the old concept of gravitation created by Newton, that is how much bigger the mass biggest the gravitational field… then as explains the black hole of the size of a head of pin with super gravitational field where nor the light escapes? . Explanation: concentrated super mass…. chutômetro is pure, as well as the mass of the sun is pure kick… nobody knows the real value of the mass of the sun, nor makes idea….If the sun will be one of this pseudo black hole with intent mass in algums kilómetros cubical and the remaining portion will be gases… in nuclear fusing…? The mind human being is ignorant and arrogant, it wants to be the owner of the truth that nor knows… You are certain in questioning, therefore it is as soon as science evolves, knocking down the old encardidos concepts that nobody aguenta more to hear of the repeaters of theories… and continues questioning.

i borrowed this from jedi1josh(so thanks for your answer to my question if you read this hun)

There is a book called "The god part of the brain" in which the author explores a theory that we are all "hard wired" to believe in god. That the belief in a god was something humans developed during the evolution process for the purpose of keeping us sane, since we are aware of our own mortality.

are we all hard-wired to believe in something greater?

Whaat does it mean to be born again? I always thought it meant a person who lost their faith and then came back to God and the church, but some people say you can be born again even if you were raised Christian and have been a believer your whole life.

it's been a year and a half since i stopped going after years and years of leadership and attendance and since leaving i've never been so strong in my faith and committment. Not all churches are bad but I'm so sick of being judged by people or manipulated by leaders etc. I understand these things are human nature but it hurts worse within the church. I know it's good to have support and help others but I found I couldn't do it any more (i've been to several churches over the years as I've lived in different countries.)
Anyone else out there living a happy christian life seperate from the church?

Has anyone else seen this monstrocity? It's some sort of idolatry where it's members look to an imaginary person named 'Bob'....who has the a-typical father face (smoking a pipe) and such. I stumbled across this junk one night while watching a public access channel (bad mistake on my part). They also believe that aliens will come to our planet and save us someday.....

Thank God for the Holy Spirit....who leads me into the truth about this.
