Oh FFS! You know full well that people can use the bible to justify anything as it never stops contradicting itself. Whocares? He is dead and not the messiah!

Dear Friend,

Jesus clearly teaches us in Gods word the bible:

Matthew 19:19 Jesus replied, " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, 19honor your father and mother,'[a] and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'[b

Clearly teaching that he does not believe in murder!

Take into account also:

Luke 6:37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven

Do not judge and do not condemn. We are imperfect and therefore we are not perfect judges of any situation. In addition to this the bible states that all life belongs to God. Therefore the teaching indicates that Jesus would be against the death penalty 100%

I hope this answers your question

God Bless

Scripture would indicate that he did not.

Edit: primoa1970 the question was does Jesus believe in the death penalty not God therefor one must look in the New Testament for the answer.

In the old testament, God did justify death
However, when Jesus died for our sins, everything changed. People did not have to die for their own sins to get to heaven anymore, Jesus did that for them already. May of the old way changed as well. After Jesus came, the time of Mercy began and so I think that Jesus did not agree with the death penalty.

But y ask us, we dont know...ask Him.

Probably not since He was a victim of the death penalty and He believes in the sanctity of all living things.

Yes, because if He didn't, even if He couldn't save Himself, because His death was fated, He could have saved the two criminals crucified beside Him, if the death penalty was wrong. He didn't, however.

Does Jesus believe in Hell?

Read the first 5 books of the bible and you tell me......

Of course He does. Death was (and still is in some cases) justifyable punishment for sins committed.

Edit: RayJ.....
Jesus is God....therefore He wrote the Old & New Testament
