Yes, many. There are some Catholics that do exactly that, but there are many Protestant groups that also worship God in such a way. Many are not known by the majority of the people, but they do exist and I have visit them several times, as part of my job to understand cultures and religious beliefs.

I typically only see this at churches that get in the presence of God. Such as my church. It's a beautiful thing. I don't know what it typically going through everyone else's mind and heart. I've noticed in myself that I typically don't do it at church though. Typically it's when I am praying something fierce at home. But, again, I see it alot at my church and we're non-denominational/full gospel.

Yes there are. Some Baptists, some Church of God In Christ (Pentecostal) and I'm sure other denominations. It's not mandatory but, in my case, our pastor tells us to prostrate ourselves before God when we're at home in prayer.

Scripture also tells us not to make public spectacles of ourselves as other religions do and to pray before God privately.

Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Yes its an act of surrender to God. A sign of humility, and God honors that.

We do in the quiet of our own home, but not in public. Jesus told us to go into the closet and pray. He told us not to recite long repetitious prayers.
