The original aim of God in creating man so that he can enjoy God.
But now the ultimate aim of humanity is not to attain Moksha but to make sense out of the chaos. And only way to this understanding is from God cause it is man who broke the original aim of God to enjoy God.
A holy god and a distorted man can not exist together that's why there is a gap betn. God and man ( the dwelling place of God and the earth).
BUT man can make a difference right where he is now by getting back to God n say 'I am sorry God for the mess in and around me, help to get back to you'.
And believe me it will happen.

Ekah Brahmah Dwiteeya Nastee. Bramhm is one, but not two. Yet there are the duo. The Bhahma and the Maya. Existence and apprence. Existence is beyond form, aparence has many forms. Yet existence is non-trivial , whereas apprences are only trivial. Sat , i.e.,Existence, it is not alone; it is bundled with Chit - consciousness or knowledge or Shiv or the benefactor, and Anand which is bliss or more extensively Sundaram or manifestation. Brahma is Satchhidananda , the three in one; the seer, the act of seeing and the object seen - all are but one entity ! God is the eternal abode of the soul. But deviation from the eternal abode is for role playing, and role playing is for sake of knowledge and knowledge is for sake of being in the etenal ocean of peace ! No deviation, no consciousness or awareness of the great pain, no knowledge of it . Hence the role playing. God is the blackhole, nothing is outside it. Neither pleasure or pain, neither virtue or sin - together they make God. Like 5 and -5 make 0, the identity, not any one's but everyone's identity. Like 5 and 1/5 make 1, the identity, containing both the thesis and the ante-thesis. Transition from thesis to antethesis and from antethesis to thesis is for sake of knowledge, for sake of role playing, to know how difficult is is to raise a family in invincible poverty. If you have perfect knowledge of poverty, you need not be poor at any time! Hence the role playing. For the Gnynee, the soul with knowledge, there is no need of Karma, Karma is so desirable to lead to knowledge. One has only right to Karma, noright to its consequences. No guarantee for consequences. This is only with a view to understand that sincere performance is so valueless ! Yet eeryone has to be most sincere performer in order to understand this ! Once the stage is achieved, it becomes evident that all the paths lead to God ! This is Bhakti, for Knowledge humbles ! The liberated soul is always in a state of prayer. God itself in in a state of prayer, beyond the law,It is so wonderful to feel pain - to be in the world. So God asked the soul for permission to send it to this wonderful earth.

In our original constitutional position we are eternally serving God or Krishna in pure loving devotional service. Love is out of free-will. It is not forced on us. Therefore, because of free will we have chosen not to serve the Lord in Loving devotion, but have come here in the material world to imitate God's position. That is why after coming here in the material most of them say, there is no God, I am God or God is dead etc...

But God or Krishna comes Himself in different incarnations or sends his representatives in the material world to enlighten us and take back to spiritual world.

For the same reason we go out to play game (I mean when we were a small child). Even though we know we have to go back home after playing game, we play game and enjoy it.
