As a Catholic, I know there are patron saints for specific causes. If I want to say contact St. Francis, for example, how do I go about it without it sounding like I'm praying to him directly (that honor only goes to the Lord, according to what I studied in Cathecism years ago)? Basically, my question is how do I ask a Saint for intercession regarding my request to the Lord? What's the proper way?

Jesus taught His disciples to pray, Our Father who aren't in heaven, but does that mean we should never pray to Jesus or the Holy Spirit? What is your understanding on that thought? I heard a TV preacher saying Jesus told the disciples not to pray to Him. I couldn't find any such verse even in Strong's Concordance.

Meditation" By: Arinna Weisman and Jean Smith ?

It is from a Theravada Buddhist Perspective.
Quite excellent reading, teaches Loving-kindness
Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation, and Insight Meditation, (the hindrances to meditation) Teaches the Middle Way {Eightfold Path), the Divine abodes, and so much more interesting information.

Was just curious if anyone has read, studied (and practices these teachings of Siddhartha Gautama) ?

Are you wanting a class that teaches religions and "certain religions", or teaches ABOUT religions? You want a class that summarizes the religions of the world?
In other words, you would have no problem with your child learning about Christian, Islamic, Jewish, Wiccan, Buddhist, Hindu, or even Satanist religions? (and please don't give me crap about Satanism not being a religion.....because it IS a religion. Just because you may not believe in it, or like what they teach, does not mean it is any less of a religion than your own.)
Anyway, and if so, do you think this should be an elective class, or mandatory?

Let say you live in a country and that country attacked another country over a bunch of lies. Then the military of this country attacks the other country and takes prisoners and abuses them sexually and sends them to a foriegn country to be tortured and killed. Is it o.k. to just do nothing and go to church on Sunday and donate your money to a minister who turns around and spends the money on meth and gay prostitutes? When ask myself "what would Jesus do" I feel like I should do something but I don't know what.
Should one just ask for forgiveness?
Just a hypothetical.

There is some PSYCHO here who hurries and gives a thumbs-down to all the answers to my questions. I'm assuming that this petty and pathetic person wants the answerers to think it's me doing it, so that they'll dislike me.... I can't think of another reason for such absurd behavior.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let the people who take a minute to answer know that it's not me doing it. I always try to give everyone a thumbs-up, in fact. Peace to everyone but the PSYCHO, lol!

Do you find that Yahoo is PC correct, that they tend to delete some questions that aren't really bad, while leaving those that are? Please share with me your experiences with Yahoo deleting questions. Do you think that they are more apt to delete questions from Christians? Have you been left feeling angry, or discriminated against by Yahoo Answers?

They pound their heads with biblical stuff before they can even comprehend the meaning. Christians kids sound nuts when they repeat biblical things before they are old enough to know what they mean. For example a 5 year old child saying he found god because he just wanted more out of life.
