Sounds like there are some Christians here...how does the LOA conflict with biblical teaching? And even if The Secret is New Age mumbo jumbo, is there any truth in it? Curious. I want to get to the bottom of this for a report...

The Word contains the real "secret" no doubt, but sometimes we miss things the New Age guys pull out. Theirs may be counterfeit, yes, but a counterfit of what?
These answers may help answer the original question posted here. Hope so.

I love how people suddenly feel the need to trash that which they do not know. "The Secret" is very much real. You, not anyone else and not anything else, hold the key to your own destiny and fate. You can make it happen. I have watched the movie, but I've also known about the law of attraction for quite a while. It does work.

Yes, I watched it tonight, and it is not just mumbo jumbo. You must have an open mind to new things for it to work for you though. It is a proven science! believe it or not, it is real.

check out stevepavlina.com if you are more interested in thought manifestation - - - yes, that movie comes across as a way to manifest personal wants, but the LOA is more complicated than that; and yes it does work (in it's own way) - for my part; i put fourth the intention of going back to school for free, five months later, this oppertunity was handed to me; it wasn't in the form i wanted, but it manifested itself nonetheless.

Funny; I had the same question when I watched it several months ago.
It DOES appear to have some validity to it; doesn't it?
I tend to think it's pretty accurate.

lol this is ridiculous of course it's true! Every single thing you have in your life began with a thought. "I want to sit on the couch and drink beer" Hey it worked! "I want to get a burrito from taco bell" HOLY COW I JUST WENT TO TACO BELL AND NOW I HAVE A BURRITO! Speaking of burritos from taco bell, I think the law of attraction is begining to take it's course! TACO BELL!

It depends on whose attracting who. It has always been said there must be physical attraction first.

For those who embrace this teaching, I have one warning:
"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall."
(see Matthew 7:26-28)
