It is NOT a theory. It is NOT a guess. Thats Christians that make that claim, no one else. Try again.

The people that think there's no proof are the people that know nothing about it.

Rose... its called common ancestor. Look it up. We did not come from monkeys. Only Christians say that.

Lovie, if Christians know more about evolution than (evolutionists is NOT a word) scientists, then tell me why we just saw a post in this very question that asked "If we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys?".
Because if you know so much about evolution, you'd know evolution doesn't say that.

mah, your bible is not proof of anything. Try again.
Its amazing, in this question, I've seen only two real answers. One agreeing with me, the other not.

The simple answer is that faith is the opposite of thinking. It is literally asking that one believe a thing, regardless of evidence ,without question. That is what they are being told and the 'faithful' believe it.
For all of the people that answered so far. Please do some research. It is clear from many of your answers that nobody has explained how evolution or natural selection works.
For the seemingly indestructible question of why are there still monkeys, I say when you cross a horse with a donkey you get a mule. Yet there are still horses and donkeys.
My favorite though is the guy that sites the cave painting of among other things MAMMOTHS and sees no change over the thousands of years in any of the animals.

Evolution as in single cell into fish into ape into man....that is totally false, zero proof and the biggest load of nothing that was ever handed out.
Now evolution inside a species, sure, we see it everywhere. Noah had a pair of dogs on the ark. Those dogs, like dogs of today have the DNA coding for wolf, coyote, dog, domestic dog, dingo, etc. Just as we see in charts....a dog is a dog is a dog, even if it has altered some and we change its name.
Same with horse....a zebra, horse, donkey, mule, all same ancestor. All Christians agree on this as its factual proof. Its adaptation to the surroundings. Same thing with man, its why some of us are white, black, yellow, red, tan....same with why our skulls are different sizes, we are different heights, why we have different color hair, eyes, languages, etc.
Your extra comments....
Evolution is a theory as its called "the theory of evolution", now define what a theory is.
You are only seeking those that agree with you....since the masses don't, this makes you angry as it makes you second guess your very beliefs. If you were not looking for a bias answer, why did you bother asking in the first place when all you were seeking was someone to back you up?
And you want proof, and this proof comes from the very source of all this evolution.
Get Darwins book "evolution and the races", not online, but the physical book. Read it. Then ask yourself....why does the man who created evolution, flat up state, in black and white "evolution is nothing more than a fable as it cannot happen". Funny how so many hide that fact and no teacher will ever teach it. The man that you call God, said himself, its false, its a fable.
To Crabby below me.....
Sure you get a mule from a horse and donkey....but continue with the truth and not leave it 1/2 told. What is that mule? A non reproductive animal. Meaning it can't have off spring, it can't mate, it can't make more of its kind. You only get a mule when you breed a horse and a donkey.
So if someone says man was crossed with something like an ape or something similar...and man came out as we know him today.....well nature flat out shows us that this doesn't work....as we would of been sterile and never reproduced. Funny how we have billions on the planet, I'd say we have reproduced.

We don't think it stopped. You do not have to stop something that never started. Evolution within a species absolutely, evolution from one species to another, Sorry, and there is NO proof of it anywhere in the Fossil record or in Biology. Anywhere.
Hyperheal- Guess what the cells in your body that are mutating are also slowing dying, not evolving into another species. Beneficial mutation now? Let us change the rules of biology as we need, like Darwin's tree of life. Now we have the theory of "punctuated equilibrium" to try to explain why the fossil record doesn't look like Darwin and his bulldog said it would. If the evidence points another direction, change the theory.
QED- Of course people have watched acorns turn into Oak trees, Any tree farmer can tell you about that, as can most deer hunters that like to grow White Oaks. That is not evolution, nor anything close to it. Get real people

I think you refer to creationists, I as a christian, do not believe in evolution, I realize that animals, adapt to their environment. The creation did not take six literal days, it took millienia of time for the creation to come to be we are still in the seventh day, of creation. 2 Peter 3:8 Psalm 90:4 Read Genesis 2: 1-4

Valid point.
By analogy, I wonder why Christians believe acorns turn into oak trees. No one has ever sat and watched for decades to see an acorn turn into an oak tree without break, yet we all accept that it happens. This is all evolution is, only spread out over many more years.
Even Jesus alludes to this with his parable of the mustard seed. I guess Christians simply don't believe their own savior that very complicated and beautiful things can come from very humble and simple beginnings.

Hyperhealer, it would probably be safe for me to say that Christians know more about evolution than evolutionists.
Ya know, we're not all brainwashed lunatics..and obviously you think that otherwise you wouldn't have made such a narrowminded comment.

The Lord moves in mysterious ways. I seriously doubt he needs a time machine. Have you checked into any types of spiritual evolution? Hmmmm.

If evolution is indeed the theory of man being here... tell us why then over the last billion of years... trillion of years... ape and monkeys are still here, if in fact humans evolved from apes. Come on, tell us... you can't because humans didn't evolve.

It has been slowed down... Things like cancer cures and Madonna adopting babies from areas where the humans have not been able to cognitively better themselves has culled evolution from natural selection.
