Hinduism is one of the more logical religions in the world, that are theist... the concepts of ahimsa, karma, and many others are very logical and fascinating and I've great respect for it. The cultural trappings have made some things difficult for people within that religion though, and some of the interwoven nuances from history, in which other religions have "contributed" also make it fascinating and intricate.

They know the soul(the person) and the Supersoul(God) are in the body. and the body is just vehicle in which the soul perform his activities, either good or bad, which create karma, and the Supersoul is the witness to those activities and is the one who give reward and punishment, life after life, until you decide to finish with the cycle or birth and death and go back to God.
