It's misogynistic, authoritarian, and makes rules that end up killing or harming people, i.e., no condom use in AIDS-ridden Africa and anti-homosexuality teachings. Magical thinking based on a philosophy that went out of vogue 1500 years ago. Refusal to allow others of other faiths to take communion.

I dislike Catholicism because the pope is supposedly infallible in church matters, leaving his interpretation as the only one. The pope is a man, no better, no worse than any other man, and a new pope can and has changed the interpretation of a previous pope, proving their infallibility. Christians believe the Bible is infallible, but Catholics believe the head of the church, the pope, can decide what the Bible means and even if the Bible is correct. I believe the ordinary person can read and interpret the Bible. The Catholic church has just added too much dogma that is not in the Bible---and that dogma changes regularly.

I do not agree with Catholicism, I wouldn't say I "don't like" it.
I believe that Mary had sex and got pregnant after the birth of Jesus. (see Matthew 13:55)
The Priesthood in the Catholic church is corrupt for various reasons, especially how marriage is not allowed. (see 1 Timothy 3:2,12 and Titus 1:6)
There are several others as well.

There are so many reasons why catholicism bothers me. For starters, the trinity. It is not supported by scriptures. I don't like how they use the example prayer that Jesus gave as like their mantra. Jesus said pray like this.. LIKE not exactly word for word.. They don't even really understand what they're praying for. I also do not like their worship of Mary. She was a regular but very faithful woman. She had other children after Jesus. She sinned and she died. She was not supposed to be worshipped. Never in the bible are we told to do that.. okay i'm done bashing.. I suppose i just wish that they would look at the scriptures they quote so often. What the real meanings are and how they affect their beliefs.. okay one more.. Their leaders are extremely corrupt in immoral unnatural ways

I am a Pagan.
I do not like Catholocisim because they go to great lengths to eliminate my religion, while practiceing it themselves.
they worship a tirune God.
they decorate their homes with the trimmings of trees and decorate a evergreen tree for the midwinter celebration.
they do not understand that yuletide blessings come from the holiday of YULE.
they begin and end their ceramonies witht he ringing of bells.
they burn insence to purify and make sacred their place of worship.
all of these things and more originated with the european Pagans.
yes the catholic church claims them as it's own and further claims that when THEY do these things it is by gods grace and done to worship god, yet when the people that developed these customs do it is it of the Devil.
they fail to understand that it was 3 maji that brought presents to Jesus on his birth.
they speak of doing great charity, yet the vatican stands a treasure trove of trillions of dollars, and there are hungry people the world over.
the fact that they hide their pediphile priests within their own ranks is truly sickining. i realize that not all priests are pedophiles, but the ones that were, the church protected.

I like the Catholic culture and traditions a lot. I like the charitable works that their clergy do throughout South America and Africa.
I find that I get along far better, in most cases, with Catholics then i do with Protestants.
I dislike the Vatican.

Nope, I have no problem with Catholics. In fact out of the varieties of Christianity, it's the one I like the best.

Personally I believe the Catholic church made a religion out of Christianity. Jesus got after the pharasees and the saducees for that. Being a Christian is about a daily walk with God; not man made rituals and man made traditions.

I have no problem with Catholics. I just don't understand the whole confession thing. To me confessing yours sins should be between you and God only.
