I just read a book that told me Joseph Smith wrote the book of Mormon with his face pushed into a top-hate, staring at a stone he dug up for hours.

It makes Mormon's sound like freaking crazy people.

I know that in symbolism butterflies and moths symbolise transformation and rebirth. I was wondering what a wasp symbolises. I am intrigued to find out as there was one in the car( just sitting on the seat), which I found strange as there dont seem to be many wasps about in Feb. I am positive that it is symbolic for something but don't know what. cheers kaf x

I don't understand how one person of a certain religion can tell another person who has a religion that they are wrong for practicing it--even if they don't worship the devil or even if they practice good faith and deeds through their god. This is something that I see in society, and I am not the kind to 'put down' someones religion. I don't understand. Is it that Christians think they're Superior than other Religions?

I practice the Christian faith, and I do not nag or urge people who already have a religious faith to convert. I don't even tell them that their religion is the devil. Some Christians do this, but others don't-not saying all Christians!

Does this idea stem from a Superiority Complex? Where did it come from & who started it? Did a racial group start it? Christianity does dominate the European/White population, & they do make up the majority in this country. Not to say that other racial groups don't bash, because they do. Is this bashing some kind of superiority thing?

To clarify, I am Muslim. I am not trying to convert anyone, but rather I am in interested in knowing if my sisters and brothers in Islam have read the Torah and the Gospel.

We accept the Torah and the Gospel to be divinely inspired, and many references to the stories told in Torah and the Gospel appear in the Qur'an.

Also, I am a convert and never went to a Muslim school, so I'd like to know if they are taught they, in addition, of course, to the Qur'an.

If you look around you can see that you learn to walk before u can run so that is why whatever started the beginning of the beginning would have to be very simple not powerful and complex.

Enclose all of the old city in a geodesic dome. Do a complete 100% search of everyone and everything inside to make sure there are no weapons. Then call the dome, "THE NEW TEMPLE." It will be over Temple Mount, which is one of the requirements. And if the mosques of the Muslims and the Churches of the Christians are inside the Jewish Temple they would be less likely to want to blow up the Temple because if it comes down, it comes down on their stuff also.

The only thing that would have to be certain is there are not statues (idols) inside the dome so the Catholic might get a little upset.

We believe that anyone under 12 is going to heaven and people who are mentally challenged are going to heaven as well. (Of course muslims as well). The reason for children and mentally challenged people is because they do not have a full brain to function( no offense to anyone ). That means that their brains are not big enough so they can know to convert or not.

Both are Abrahamic religions. Both are monotheistic. Both believe in a judgemental God with either punishment or reward waiting when you die. Don't use jihad as an example unless you really understand what that means-Christians have long had their own form of jihad.
