the bible is just a printed book. Do not miss understand what I am saying, I believe the truths of the bible. Unlike the Torah that is hand copied each time, the bible goes off a press and can Torah's that are very old. I went to a synagogue that had a Torah that was rescued from the Nazi's, and had two bullets holes in it. When I touch it, I cried. For me, it was a symbol of all family that died, yet is the synagogue started to burn, I would have looked for the people that needed help getting out. That is what God's love is taking care of each other, that is seeking his kingdom, as christains call it.

I wouldn't grab my Bible if I had say children in the house or pets. A Bible can be replaced but a child or pet dear to your heart can not be the same again if they die. I'd pick up my cat and dog and make a run for it ... I believe in the Lord but his word will still be around the next day, life can not be brought back when lost officially.

Seeking Gods kingdom first means putting your life in his hands and working towards the gift of every lasting love. Believe in him and live a good life as his word orders.

No, I would not grab my Bible first. I can always buy a new one. I'd grab my laptop which contains all my writings, personal revelations from God, letters from friends, personal photos... The stuff that I can't replace so easily if at all.

It means to seek after God's Kingdom, making it more of a priority than any other endeavor in life. Part of God's Kingdom includes building with your family and the body of Christ. So seeking first the Kingdom does not mean sitting in your closet reading the Bible all day. The Kingdom is all around us, and we are to be doing our part to help it grow and to strengthen its members.

We are to seek this Kingdom over worrying about how our needs will be met. Seek first the Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you as well. Trust, don't worry....

I'd grab my cat. I can always buy new copies of the Havamal, the Voluspa and the Eddas. But there will always be only ONE Der Tanz Der Schatten, the world's coolest cat!

To look for God. To seek the kingdom is to try to be in His presence and do things to please God and show love to others. This may not be a correct answer, just my thoughts of the moment.

No, people would come first and then pets. I can buy dozens of bibles, but I cant replace people. We are to seek to please God first, with our actions, thoughts and motives first, and then what we want.
