I don't think so. I think we have a lot of radicals and fundamentalists in here. I think the majority of Christians are more tolerant, and less extreme. I hope so anyway. Some of the Christians on here I find thoughtful and caring. I've gotten quite a few answers from religious people that really challenged some of ym gut instincts towards religious people. A Muslim just answered a question of mine in a way that made me feel a sense of real love. It sounds corny, but it made a difference.

Most are, but some are not, like the ones that say once you are Christian you stop sinning. or those that declare they are better than others.
Jesus last command was to love your neighbor as yourselves. Would they call themselves bad names or treat themselves as they do some people. I think not. I am a Christian and that means to be Christ like. So that is what I strive for. Jesus talked to all kinds of people not just the ones that looked good or whatever. He would be the first one to talk to you. He would do it with love in His heart that is what being a Christian is about, loving one another.

Not really. Martin Luther King jr., now that was a good representative of Christianity. I doubt he'd use Yahoo Answers though, were he still alive.

Hmm... Well, I don't really know too many Christians on here personally.
I think that many are, yes, but others are not. It is always difficult (and to me, not good) to generalize.
A good representative of Christianity is someone who is understanding, kind, and compassionate to others, and who does not jump down people's throats and insult others who disagree with them.
I guess, some are, some are not.

As a Christian, I can say I don't think this crowd is representative. It does represent aspects of it though, like certain strands of evangelicalism. But that is not a full picture.

Here on Yahoo Answers, you probably notice more of the fundamental, scripture-quoting variety than anything.
The ones that are the most outspoken and fervent are going to be the most noticeable.
Christians that are more grounded in real life and common sense don't appear as flamboyant.

I don't know to which standard to measure the christians here. I am an atheist. I think it is up to the christians to measure and apply their own standards on their own instead of doing the same to non-christians.

Yes we are. what is wrong with Christians here? Did they tell the truth about your belief that you did not want to hear or not heard before. If you for one time look at your religion from outside you would agree with us. Sorry we are not here to save face.

Some of them are okay but the comments of the mindless bigots and evangelicals I would have to see to believe. Some of them are just deeply perverse and unnatural people.

Maybe not good representatives, but definitely the norm.
