There are idiots out there that blew up trains, bombed clincs and killed millions.

I don't want to look like someone who hates religion but you don't make a good argument for believing in something.

That there are so many non-believers here in this Yahoo forum that need a rational explanation for everything in order for it to be real to them?

I would imagine that the word 'faith' means nothing to them....unless it's faith in self.....which is their downfall anyway.

And unfortunately, I cannot seem to add comments anymore because I have no idea how to enable Java on my computer....I don't even know what that means.....help.....e-mail me on that one if you will.

Mine is the egg trinity. Three parts that make a whole. Shell, white and yolk are all separate but part of one egg. Problem with this is that Jesus is supposed to BE god, and a yolk is not an egg. It is part of an egg.

all the churches get together and pray the war in Iraq would stop?
Saving all those young men from dieing. Wouldn't that be better than praying for anything else like arthritis in old people.
Give young people a chance to get old and get arthritis.

Churches seem to have become very inward looking in my opinion. Why don't they make it easier for to pray for strangers and those in the community who can't/won't attend a church but do believe in God? Surely, request for prayer could be posted on a website such as this or in a prayer box in a shop?

No matter how good you are you still go to Hell for not believing in Jesus as either God, son of God, personal savior, Yet others believe it is your deeds that get you into heaven, or hell not your belief, please explain this insanity to me?

All these guys are saved?
We with out their sin are going to Hell, if we do not believe in Jesus?
With out exception all of the above have at least 3 things in common
1.Christianity.
2.The claim that all Jews are going to Hell and burn fore ever in a lake of fire by a loving God if the refuse to except Jesus as their personal savior, as well as every one else.
3 Criminals, with criminal records of all manner of evil.
Why should I believe they are all saved, and going to heaven while others who done not half of the level of sins they did, are going to hell, can you see where I am coming from?

I would really appreciate your opinions to this, Religious and Non.

I was a devout Christian for MANY years!! As I started getting older, my belief's started to diminish little by little until I realized that "I" didn't believe in a higher being. I continued to go to church every Sunday and Wednesday, hoping for a kickstart.

It wasn't there. I kept hearing, service after service, that God would "accept" us only if our hearts truly accepted Jesus Christ and so forth...

I thought to myself, "well, I'm screwed!"

After many years of "Trying," I just couldn't do it.
"It wasn't Logical." I stopped going to service but I am more "Christian like" then most people I know. I volunteer, I give to charities, I can't even download free music!

Why do I still get criticized by many that I am a "SAVAGE" who has no moral values because I don't believe in the bible or any other religion?

"IF" I am wrong and God does exist, being a roll model HUMAN will still send me to hell?

I see Jer is in the news again today. When Jerry said that:

the other night i was watching the simpsons and a bunch of reporters were going to mayor quimby's house. they had fox news, etc. well the christian science monitor van showed up and got a flat tire. one guy said "well i guess we better get the jack" and the religious guy said "no, we must wait for god to jack us."
