That there are so many non-believers here in this Yahoo forum that need a rational explanation for everything in order for it to be real to them?

I would imagine that the word 'faith' means nothing to them....unless it's faith in self.....which is their downfall anyway.

And unfortunately, I cannot seem to add comments anymore because I have no idea how to enable Java on my computer....I don't even know what that means.....help.....e-mail me on that one if you will.

Carnal thinkers do not understand the concept of faith. The fact that through faith comes revelation doesn't seem to register to many as they believe that faith in God is akin to believing in Santa Claus.

Go to the 'advanced' tab of Internet Options. Scroll down to HTTP.1 and check everything under it. Also, if it says Java check that. Apply then ok, then restart. Hope that helps.
Yes, most atheists here misunderstand the meaning of the word faith, as if we don't believe in any science at all. Sad really.

Why dont you just have faith that your computer will fix itself?... or how about praying to god to enable Java for you?

Or is it more practical to have faith in yourself to be able to figure out and fix the problem on your computer, and have the proof that yes what you did works to fix the problem..

I dont believe in god but I do have faith... I have faith in my ability to overcome adversity, I have faith in the ways of nature, I have faith that knowledge can solve all problems, and I have faith in those I love and those that love me. Having faith in yourself to overcome odds and solve problems all on your own will not lead to "your downfall" it will lead to strength of character and will point your moral compass in the right direction. I have faith in myself to do what is right always regardless of reward or punishment. Unlike you my faith can evolve to support me when I need it the most... your faith has no basis in fact and no proof that it will ever help you unless you consider what you are trying to earn for after your death which doesnt really help you in life.

My faith supports me always... if something I own breaks I have faith in my ability to fix it myself or learn how to fix it.. When someone is mean or rude to me I have faith in my ability to rise above such pettiness. When bad things happen to me or those I love I have faith in my strength to endure pain or heartbreak. When my life is over I have faith that all that I have done in my life will have made a difference to those who needed it the most, and I have faith that those who do not seek rewards or try and avoid punishment are those who will be truly rewarded not by a god or heaven but by the goodness they spread when they were alive and the light they brought to this world.

I asked a very similar question earlier today. I agree with you, except about the Java part.

Mark Twain did a good job explaining faith:

"Faith is believing what you know ain't so."

Are you faking? If not, I love how you descended into idiocy at the end.

It bothers me that you don't have faith in the flying spaghetti monster. God is real, and he is made of pasta.

Why would a demand for proof bother you?
