If youre empathic youre one of those people who can sense others emotions as if they were your own. Youd be walking down the street and look at someone by accident and all of a sudden feel like the whole world just came crashing into you. You realize that just because people look normal or happy doesnt mean they are. But sometimes the feelings just dont go away.

What do you do? How do you handle it all?

I mean people DO realize that we believed in nothing before people believed in god right? Hindu is the oldest religion in the world besides paganism. People worshipped nature before they worshipped god. Why are there so many who think religion started with the christian god?

I submit to you there ISN'T one... God punishes many different offences in the Old Testament, but I don't know of a single case where a man got in trouble with God for having multiple wives! Was God just too busy to get around to punishing those guys, or did He not care...?

...stated another way...is it hypocritical to call oneself a "secular jew" since Judaism is a religion and not a culture? (Because if it were then no conversion would be needed to call oneself Jewish...and there is also no "Christian Culture" per se....so it sounds like to me that many folks who call themselves Jewish are just doing so to be part of a group (which is actually just fine..it's their choice) but in practice they don't make any regular practice of pursuing judeo-Christian values.

For instance, I am studying pre-vetinerary science in college right now. I am working hard to be a vet, it is what I've always wanted to be. However, I feel this urge, a voice in my head telling me to go pre-med instead. It's like something I try to ignore or contradict but I don't think I have a choice...I feel called.....and I'm not even that religious!

I feel so cheesy saying that, but can anyone relate? What is your situation?

Having visited Buchenwald Concentration Camp's Museum in the past, I thought I would ask if it is possible to forgive and forget? Seeing on display items such as baby shoes stained in blood really brought home what evil can and does exist. Perhaps it is okay to forgive but intead of forgetting surely we should be remembering and learning? Surely we should all be on our guard against such evil? Thinking of a passage in the Bible which says we should be watchful....

For example, in the book of Genisis, I believe that Chapter 2 says that God created Man and Woman AT THE SAME TIME, yet the next chapter it claims that he made woman from the rib of man. In the four first gospels of the new testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all describe stories of Jesus, yet they are all different renditions. Why?
