A historian or clergyman might provide a better answer that I have here. My understanding is that originally the Old Testament was oral. The oldest existing written version of the Old Testament is the Dead Sea Scrolls, which have gone on museum tours all over the world. I believe the bulk of the Dead Sea Scrolls are at a university or museum in Israel.

There are three books which are considered the oldest examples of the New Testament: Codex Sinai, Codex Britannica and Codex Vatican? (cannot remember the exact name). Not sure where Codex Sinai is, again I believe it is a museum or university in Israel. The other two are at the British Library in London and at the Vatican in Rome.

I have seen scraps of the Dead Sea Scrolls as well as Codex Britannica with my own eyes. It was a very moving experience to say the least.

there are a range of copies that are interior many years of the unique manuscripts. this can be better effective because if there grow to be one unique, someone ought to change the unique. yet there have been early copies spread out over a huge area; that way no you'll regulate the note of God contained in the recent testomony. The Jewish people had possibility-free guards in preserving the former testomony.

The Catholic Church has some of the oldest copies.

They have all been lost and or rotted even if we knew where they were. The Dead sea scrolls, while certainly old, were not the original scrolls.

I know the Vatican has several books. But not sure on all of them. I wouldn't trust the Vatican for a glass of water. They appear to be pretty shady.

I'm not under the impression that we have any of the originals.

At least, I'm sure we have very few, if any.
